Xur Exotic Armor, Weapon, and Recommendations for March 28

Xur Exotic Armor, Weapon, and Recommendations for November 8

Summary

  • Xur is back in Destiny 2 with new gear for players to explore for a limited time.
  • For exotic armor, Xur has Antaeus Wards, Transversive Steps, and Foetracer.
  • Xur’s exotic weapons include a new Hawkmoon, Thunderlord, Wavesplitter, and Cerberus+1.

Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. The end is near for both Guardian Games for Destiny 2 in 2025 and Act 2. Even with a few days remaining before the reset, Titan players have claimed victory this year in the games, as the Hunters and Warlocks can’t make up the ground at this point.

Unlike previous seasonal acts, Bungie is also ditching the usual downtime between them, as at the usual Destiny 2 Weekly Reset, Act 3 will begin. Bungie has already highlighted some elements in its weekly blog, including new rewards, the next pair of Barrow-Dyad catalysts, and the return of the Sunless Cell strike.

Destiny 2 Reveals New Update Patch Notes

Bungie releases the patch notes for Destiny 2 Update 8.2.5.2, addressing numerous bugs, adding an armor ornament option, and more.

The daily reset on Friday also means it’s time for the exotic merchant Xur, who has returned with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of March 28, 2025.

Where is Xur?

Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there’s no more hunting when the weekend comes around.

Destiny 2 Xur

Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are hanging out and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley hiding Xur is to the right.

Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Xur’s Exotic Armor

D2-TransversiveSteps

Transversive Steps – Warlock leg armor

Exotic Perk:

  • Strange Protractor

    – Sprint speed increased. After a short time sprinting, your currently equipped weapon is automatically reloaded.

Free reloads simply by running? Yup, these can be super helpful and synergizes with any Warlock build/subclass. They may not be flashy, but these can definitely help in a pinch and the roll itself is pretty good this week.

Stat Values (68 Total):

  • Mobility +3
  • Resilience +29
  • Recovery +3
  • Discipline +12
  • Intellect +15
  • Strength +6
destiny 2 foetracer-1

Foetracer – Hunter helmet

Exotic Perk:

  • Relentless Tracker

    – Damaging a powerful combatant or Guardian with an ability temporarily increases weapon damage of the same type. Defeating that marked target with damage that matches the element creates an elemental pickup.

While this used to give Hunters a form of wallhacking to see enemies, the item has changed to provide a weapon damage buff when hitting enemies. Likely more helpful in PvP activities since “powerful combatants are not as plentiful in PvE activities as Guardians are inside the Crucible.

Stat Values (68 Total):

  • Mobility +4
  • Resilience +18
  • Recovery +12
  • Discipline +6
  • Intellect +2
  • Strength +26
destiny 2 disable boots

Antaeus Wards – Titan leg armor

Exotic Perk:

  • Reflective Vents

    – While sliding with full class ability energy, you gain a frontal shield that reflects incoming damage. After reflecting damage, your class ability energy is depleted based on the amount of damage reflected.

A decent PvP exotic that isn’t really viable elsewhere in the game. The roll is pretty good though.

Stat Values (67 total):

  • Mobility +8
  • Resilience +16
  • Recovery +11
  • Discipline +24
  • Intellect +6
  • Strength +2
