When you’re creating a Zoi in InZoi, beyond choosing their physical appearance and what awesome threads they get to wear, you also have to choose a couple of options that affect their personality, one of which is selecting a Trait.

There are 18 Traits in total to choose from, and whichever one you pick will influence your Zoi, affecting which emotions and needs may arise for them as they go about their daily lives. With so many Traits on offer, it can be hard to pick which to assign, so here’s what you need to know.

InZoi is currently in Early Access and the gameplay will change over time. We’ll update this guide as the game changes.

What Do Traits Affect?

Traits cannot be changed once you have created your Zoi, so choose carefully. Traits influence a Zoi’s values and preferences, affecting their expectations and relationship dynamics, and giving them set values.

Different Traits affect how your Zoi behaves, including:

Conversation options
Actions they can perform
Emotions they feel
Urges they have

Specific Traits can make your Zoi more or less likely to feel certain emotions, cause Need gauges to fill or decrease at different rates, and can also affect how adept they are at building relationships and holding conversations.

Traits are grouped in pairs of similar personalities that share many keywords. We’ve got a complete breakdown of each one right here.

Mediator (Calm And Tranquil)

	Characteristics	Prioritizes relaxation and can be lazy. Often has the Tranquil emotion. Excited emotion lasts for less time. Energy gauge decreases more quickly. Builds relationships with other Zois more easily.

Mediators balance strength and gentleness, and prioritise peace and harmony first and foremost, but they often procrastinate and lack focus on achieving goals. They work hard to maintain good relationships and are adept at comforting and mediating others, but they can be stubborn and defensive at times.

Dreamer (Calm And Tranquil)

Dreamers value peace the most and hate anything that may disrupt their harmonious lives. They are very kind to others, but their passive personalities can hinder actively pursuing goals, and their lofty ideals can sometimes make them feel superior to others.

Perfectionist (Meticulous And Thorough)

Perfectionists have very high standards for themselves and other Zois, and always aim to ensure that everything is done flawlessly. These Zois rarely show emotions, which can make them appear aloof to others.

They make rational decisions and have a strong sense of justice and responsibility. They are very disciplined in pursuing personal goals and are meticulous planners.

Social activists live by very high standards that they set for themselves, and have a strong sense of improving society. They are keen rule followers and aim to be an example that others look up to. They are very interested in social issues and do not back down when faced with challenges.

They can sometimes be anxious and possessive, especially when fearing the loss of love, and may sometimes use their excellent communication skills to manipulate others into perceiving them better.

Socialite (Competent And Ambitious)

Socialites have outstanding social skills and will often make great impressions on other Zois. They pursue success and value social recognition, and enjoy being the center of attention. They are proud of being a social butterfly and, as a result, are very conscious of what others think of them, and will often compare themselves or feel competitive with others.

Go-Getter (Competent And Ambitious)

Authoritarians prioritise power and dominance, and they like to be in control. They are very assertive and dislike being criticised. They are confident and charismatic, which lends itself well to their leadership skills, and they are driven to fight for what they believe is right.

Can I Change My Zoi’s Trait?

Once a Zoi has been created and a Trait is chosen, their Trait cannot be changed. This may change later in development, or become possible via cheats.
