Atomfall lets you explore the towns and wilderness at your own leisure. You’ll often stumble across items with no clue about what they do, as well as people with quests for you. Sometimes, you’ll find a quest item before you’ve even started the quest it’s needed for.

One of those items is the Bakery Bedroom Key. If you’re found it, you’ll want to know what to use it for. If you’ve started the quest at the bakery which you need it for, you’ll want to know where to find it. We’ll point you in the right direction.
How To Get Bakery Bedroom Key
You’ll be able to find the Bakery Bedroom Key in the Garage in Wyndham Village. On the map, you’ll see a garage-looking drawing on the southwest of the map. The garage is easy to find, just head along the road to it.
Once you’re there, head inside the open section and the Bakery Bedroom Key will be on the workbench on the right side of the room. Grab it and continue on your way.
Bakery Location
With the key in hand, you’ll want to head to the Bakery to use it. The Bakery is in the centre of Wynhdam Village, right along the main street by the village green. Head in and you’ll be able to speak to Iris Baxter, who’ll seem pretty suspicious at first.
Should You Open The Bedroom Door?
This is where things get tricky. Of course, the key you have opens the bedroom door upstairs, but you shouldn’t do so right away. First of all, speak to Iris.
She asks if you’re with the soldiers, so reassure her that you’re not. Then, ask if her concerns are due to her husband being ill. She’ll confirm they are, so now you need to work out why.
Be sympathetic in your next reply and she’ll explain how her husband needs a specific tonic to heal. Be curious about that tonic and she’ll say you can go and get it for her if you like. You can then agree to take on that quest and track the lead or not. You’ll need to head to the Castlefell woods and speak to Mother Jago if you do.
If you choose to just open the Bakery bedroom door using the key you have, you’ll find Iris’s infected husband and they’ll both start attacking you. You have to run or fend them off. If all you want is the loot in the room, go ahead, but the smartest thing to do is follow the quest you’re given.
The lead you just obtained from Iris will be failed if you just open the door without obtaining the tonic first.
What’s In The Bakery Bedroom
Whether you choose to use the key to get in before or after getting the tonic iris asked you to get, you’ll get the same reward for doing so.
There will be Consumables Manual for you to grab on the table inside. You can either get it without upsetting anyone, or grab it and run. The choice is yours.
Finding Mother Jago
If you do decide to follow the quest to get the tonic, you need to head to the Casterfell Woods from the gate down by the beach in the village.
From there, head to the far north of the area and you’ll find Mother Jago in a broken building at 26.7 E, 92.2 N. She’ll say that she doesn’t have the tonic recipe and that you’ll need to retrieve it from the castle in the opposite corner of the region.
Getting The Tonic Recipe
Getting the tonic recipe goes hand in hand with another quest, with Jago asking you to get her Herbalism Book from that same location. Once you’re there, the tonic you’re after is on the table on the left in the rear right room of the castle. You can check out our full guide on that section here.
Since the section is quite tricky and full of enemies, it’d be smart to complete both objectives at the same time.
Once you have the tonic recipe, you can craft it and head back to Iris at the Bakery. She’ll give the medicine to her husband and you’ll be allowed into the bedroom without being attacked. This is how you get the reward the proper way, and it will keep the Bakery couple on your side for the rest of the game. You don’t know when you might need their help again.
