The Techrot Encore update for Warframe
added a whole host of new weapons for Tenno to chase, from Coda Infested weapons to a roster of Scaldra firearms. The EFV-5 Jupiter sits in the latter category, acting as a modernized version of the Tenora.

Here is everything you need to know about 1999’s Temporal Archimedea game mode.
Each round from this lightweight assault rifle is infused with Corrosive damage, making this a great workhorse for most content. Mod it for Viral damage, and you’ll shred through most targets with its primary mode. And if a tougher enemies stands in your way, blow them apart with this gun’s buckshot alt-fire. Let’s go over how to get this weapon, cover its quirks, and showcase a solid endgame build for the EFV-5 Jupiter.
How To Obtain The EFV-5 Jupiter
Most Scaldra weapons are purchased from Minerva in the Hollvania hub. You’ll be able to access her shop when you hit max rank with
The Hex Syndicate
. Once unlocked, simply speak with her to purchase the EFV-5 Jupiter’s blueprints. Doing so will cost Hex standing. You’ll also need to craft each component for the weapon, although the crafting requirements are fairly low.

If you’re used to the
AX-52
, the EFV-5 Jupiter is a similar weapon. This is an automatic rifle with a shotgun alt-fire that has a short charge time, similar to how the Stahlta and Tenora work. The alt-fire consumes 15 ammo per shot and has a one-second charge time. If you want to use the buckshot mode as your main source of damage, we highly recommend you scale your fire rate. For both modes, focus on critical stats and generic damage.
EFV-5 Jupiter Builds
Since the EFV-5 Jupiter is a fairly simple assault rifle, we’ll be focusing on an endgame build for this guide. You can use a basic, zero Forma build with base damage and elemental mods to complete base 1999 content, but for anything more demanding, you’ll need to invest in this weapon to see any success.

As far as rifle builds are concerned, this is a fairly standard endgame configuration. Galvanized Chamber scales your multishot, and Primary Merciless greatly buffs your base damage. Critical stats are worth scaling here, so you’ll want to use Point Strike and Galvanized Scope to guarantee critical hits. Vital Sense will then scale your critical damage.
Elemental damage is up next. Primed Cryo Rounds and Malignant Force will create Viral, synergizing nicely with the weapon’s innate Corrosive damage to reduce the target’s EHP. For your last mod slot, you can either run Vile Acceleration to make better use of your buckshot alt-fire or Galvanized Aptitude for more base damage. We recommend the former for most.
