The Best Dual Viciss Builds In Warframe

The Techrot Encore update for Warframe

added over a dozen new weapons to the game, ranging from mutated versions of existing Infested weapons to modified ballistic weaponry wielded by the Scaldra. The Dual Viciss sits firmly in the latter category, filling the role as the Scaldra’s dependable melee weapon.

Destroy your foes with this infinite ammo secondary.

These scythes carve through opponents with high base damage, critical stats, and innate Gas damage. If you’re willing to spec this weapon for status damage, you can clear hordes of enemies in just a few slashes. Today, we’ll showcase how to do just that with our endgame Dual Viciss build. But first, let’s explain how this weapon works and how you can craft it.

How To Obtain The Dual Viciss

Warframe Minerva Covert Arms Menu

Crafting the Dual Viciss will require you to purchase its component blueprints from Minerva in the Hollvania hub. You’ll be able to access her shop upon reaching Rank 5 with the

Hex Syndicate
, the main faction tied to Warframe 1999 content. Once you reach max rank, you can spend Hex standing to purchase each Dual Viciss component.

Bear in mind that these components are not crafted. You’ll need to acquire materials to forge the blades, hilts, and the weapon itself. Most of the materials needed can be earned from the Star Chart and 1999 content.

Despite their appearance, the Dual Viciss count as Dual Swords and not a type of Scythe weapon. These weapons feature high critical stats, good status chance, and innate Gas damage. More importantly, this weapon’s passive grants a movement speed and attack speed buff whenever you inflict Gas status. At max stacks, you’ll receive a 40 percent movement speed bonus and 35 percent more attack speed.

This passive highly encourages you to spec into Gas damage and status chance to leverage the free speed buffs. Throw on an attack speed mod like Berserker’s Fury, and you’ll have a powerful melee weapon for most content. You can also mod the weapon for Electric damage to take advantage of Melee Influence’s status proliferation effect.

We’ll be looking at an endgame build for the Dual Viciss today, one that takes advantage of the incredible Melee Influence Arcane to make this weapon a DPS monster against hordes of enemies. If you don’t have this Arcane, feel free to drop Electric damage for another element or combo-based mod.

It should come as no surprise that we’re using Melee Influence here. It’s the strongest melee Arcane in the game by a wide margin, spreading all status effects you inflict to enemies within 19 meters. You’ll need to proc Electric status to trigger this Arcane, so we’ll use Voltaic Strike to get Electric damage into the build while simultaneously scaling our status chance.

For more status chance, we’ve opted to use Weeping Wounds and

Galvanized Elementalist
. Kills will grant up to an 80 percent status chance boost, and Weeping Wounds will scale your status chance as you increase your combo. Blood Rush will scale your critical chance with combo count as well, which we push even further with Galvanized Steel.

Use the Naramon Focus School to significantly reduce the decay rate of your combo meter.

Since we’ll be doing most of our damage through status procs, it’s natural to run Condition Overload here. Status debuffs on the target will increase your melee damage against them, scaling your status proc’s base damage as well. Finally, we recommend you run any Smite mod. We aren’t a fan of swapping bane mods either, but they double-dip when used with status ailments, applying to the status effect’s base damage and their DoT.

If you aren’t a fan of faction damage mods, you can always opt to run more critical damage, base damage, or scale your attack speed through Berserker’s Fury.
