Honkai: Star Rail is giving out a free five-star character to fans during the game’s upcoming Version 3.2 update, including a pair of limited characters available. The next update to the massively popular sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse looks set to ring in its second anniversary in style with a plethora of new content on the way. Version 3.2 will add two new playable characters to the game’s roster in Castorice and Anaxa, alongside plenty of special new rewards and events. Now, HoYoverse has revealed one of its biggest gifts during the anniversary festivities.
Honkai: Star Rail has often given players the opportunity to receive in-game characters for free, both as rewards for completing the game’s events and special celebrations. HoYoverse regularly includes four-star characters as rewards for completing the game’s many events, with the recent “Awooo Firm” event giving fans the choice of four different four-star units. Star Rail has even given out five-star characters for free on occasion, including Dr. Ratio in Version 1.6 and a five-star selector for its standard banner characters during Version 2.7. The next update is now giving fans the chance to pick up one of two limited five-star units.

Players can use the token within the new shop to acquire a free copy of either Ruan Mei or Luocha, with the game’s standard banner characters also available. Fans can pick up the gift token immediately following the launch of Version 3.2 through the conclusion of Version 3.4.
