Now, InZOI has recently been released in early access, and it managed to overcome The Sims 4’s player count on Steam almost immediately. According to information from SteamDB, InZOI peaked at over 72,000 concurrent players in the last 24 hours and was still growing at the time of this report. The Sims 4, on the other hand, peaked at just over 38,000 players in the last 24 hours. It’s possible that InZOI will even overcome The Sims 4’s all-time high of 96,328 simultaneous players soon, as its player count is still increasing and the trend will likely continue during the weekend.

InZOI Passes The Sims 4 During Its Launch Day on Steam

Overall, it’s not surprising to see InZOI doing so well. Earlier this week, InZOI passed Hollow Knight: Silksong as the most wishlisted game on Steam. However, some of these wishlists were probably because gamers had to do it to gain access to InZOI: Creative Studio, which allows players to create characters in the game. However, such a high number of wishlists obviously shows strong interest in the new title.

InZOI’s road to the launch has not been entirely smooth, though. Some days ago, InZOI was in the middle of a controversy, as its developers were accused of using the unpopular Denuvo DRM in the game’s trial version. However, the developers of InZOI have confirmed that the game would launch without Denuvo, which calmed down the fanbase.

InZOI is still in early access, and it’s likely that it will continue in this stage for a while. A few weeks ago, its developers unveiled a roadmap for InZOI, which detailed the free DLC that the title will receive in the coming months. According to this roadmap, the first free DLC that the life sim will get is Kucingku Cat Island in August 2025, which will bring a new Southeast Asia-inspired city to the already popular game. Then, between August and September, the next update will introduce even more features to InZOI.
