The First Berserker: Khazan can be a pretty difficult game. If you want to survive, you’ll need to utilize every tool in your toolkit. And of those tools, the Phantoms are some of the most potent. Not only will they provide you with a substantial boost to one aspect of Khazan, but you will eventually be able to unlock further buffs that will greatly benefit you in your travels.

The First Berserker: Khazan – Complete Guide To Skill Points
Here’s everything you need to know about Skill Points in The First Berserker: Khazan to get the most out of your playthrough!
We’ll give you a rundown of every Phantom you can acquire in the game, their abilities, and how to acquire them. With the help of this guide, you can be certain that you won’t miss any of them along the way. That is easy to do, as some of their associated Ghostly relics are quite well-hidden.
How Phantoms Work
There are eight Phantoms in The First Berserker. You will unlock them by obtaining the ghostly object associated with them. When you equip a Phantom, it will provide you with a bonus. This bonus will increase as the Phantom levels up. Every Phantom has a maximum level of 20.
However, that isn’t the only way to strengthen them. Each Phantom can be upgraded twice. You upgrade them the same way you unlock them: by finding the Ghost relic linked to them and giving it to them.
While you have to choose to give each Phantom their Ghost object, those items are all linked to a specific Phantom and that Phantom alone. They serve no other purpose. So, there is no reason not to use them as far as I can tell.

You’ll need the Wild Ghost Necklace to unlock Keshta. The first chance you’ll have to acquire this necklace is by completing the Stormpass’ Phantom of Combat side mission. You will receive this side mission from the Blade Phantom; it is available the moment you gain access to The Crevice.
This is the briefest side mission in the game, as it doesn’t have a stage component. You simply need to beat an enhanced version of the Blade Phantom boss.

During the Escaping Linon Mine mission, after you have climbed up and around, you’ll be able to kick a ladder down to unlock a shortcut back to the first area. Nearby is a bridge with a few spiders on the other side of it. Dangling above their heads is a webbed corpse holding the Ghost Shield. Cut it down with a Javelin and grab it. The closest Blade Nexus is the Mine No. 2 Central Management Hub.

After you kill the spider, look above you. You’ll find a webbed corpse dangling above your head, holding something shiny. Cut the body down with a javelin and you’ll be able to take the Ghost Hammer from it. The nearest Blade Nexus is the Grim Cave – but only if you’ve unlocked the shortcut.

Once you are on the ground level, surrounded by burning homes, look for the building where a soldier kicks the door down. It will be two floors. Exit the the door and look to your left. Like with Keshta, you don’t need to find the Ghost, it will be given to you once you beat the Reaper boss.
