Creating a customized neighborhood allows you to better express yourself and experience the world of the Zois. We’ll walk you through how to do all of that, from the color of the trees to what types of advertisements are displayed on the city buildings.

There’s no reason you can’t create blue trees and fill the streets with crocodiles and panda bears, so take a look at all your neighborhood customization options so you can make the city something to remember.
InZoi is in early access, so details are subject to change. As such, we’ll update our guides as needed.
How To Change The City Decor
From the City Map, you can alter the city decorations. Here, that includes the trees and the grass. You can choose from a variety of different trees to decorate the city streets as well as different flowers to replace the grassy hedges.
By accessing the color wheel, you can change the color palette of the foliage to suit your preferences. Go wild!
These details can be changed at any time from the menu, so feel free to customize the city for seasonal photos. The decorations don’t have any impact on gameplay, aside from aesthetics.
You can also add special affects and change the look of billboards across town. The billboards can use custom images you upload, so you can use photos you take in-game or display your favorite images across the city.
You can also use the Control Environment tab to make the city look like a dystopian wasteland if you’d prefer to have an apocalyptic city.
How To Change The Weather
Sunny days are all fun and games, but what if you want to shake things up? While seasons aren’t fully implemented, you can use the City Menu to change the appearance of the weather.
Changing the weather won’t impact your Zois. It’s for aesthetic purposes only.
You can choose from four different weather conditions:
- Sunny Weather. This is the default and provides a bright and shining daylight atmosphere.
- Cloudy Weather. Overcast days will fill your city so that there’s always an air of grey gloom and cool tones.
- Rainy Weather. This creates a rainstorm that soaks the city, though it won’t impact Zois or driving.
- Snowy Weather. The tablet screen will frost over and the temperature drops to provide a winter vibe for the city.
Weather can be changed at any time, so you can manually implement seasons as you play.
How To Add Animals To The City
What’s a city without wildlife? You can add a variety of animals to the city as well from the city menu. You can select up to three of the following critters to occupy the city:
While these are purely cosmetic additions, you can increase the number in which they appear.
- Cats
- Dogs
- Pandas
- Deer
- Raccoons
- Squirrels
- Foxes
- Crocodiles
You cannot interact directly with the animals, but you can take photos with them while out around town!
