Assassin’s Creed Shadows features many different unknown organizations that you can hunt while playing as Naoe or Yasuke. These organizations seem to be involved in some illegal activities, so you are tasked with eliminating the big guns.

Learn how to find all seven smugglers’ locations in AC Shadows.
Locating and killing them is a tough job as not only will you have to spend a lot of time, but you will have to use your scouts too. The Betrayers is a side quest in the game where you have to eliminate seven targets. Here, we will guide you on how to find and eliminate them without much trouble.
How To Start The Betrayers Quest
You can start the quest by talking to Hori Hidemasa as Yasuke, just north of the Mouth of Sea marker on the map in the Omi region. Upon reaching the place, talk to him, and you will be tasked with killing seven betrayers.
How To Find And Defeat All Betrayers
Here’s where to find and how to defeat all seven betrayers.
Fujichika Nakayama
The first target on your list is Fujichika Nakayama, who can be found in the tenshu of Takatsuki Castle in Setsu. He will be sitting inside the castle along with some other samurai.
The best way to defeat him is by opening the back door and assassinating him quickly.
If you are under-leveled, then performing an assassination on your opponents may be impossible. If that is the case, then it is better to be at least level 50 before you start this quest; otherwise, you may have a really hard time defeating the betrayers.
We were at level 51 and could not finish him off just with the assassination attempt, so a battle became inevitable. That said, fighting him wasn’t too difficult.
If you are being overpowered by the other samurai, then we recommend going to the rooftop after performing a single assassination and waiting for the aggro to wear off.
Then, perform an assassination on him again to kill him. After defeating Fujichika Nakayama, you will get Ill-Fated String, an epic bow.
Sato Katsubei
Sato Katsubei, the next one you have to kill, can be found at the Yamazaki Castle in Yamashiro. The best way to kill him is, of course, by assassination, but just a single one may not be enough unless you are extremely overpowered.
He also has a lot of samurai beside him, but luckily, there are some bushes and tall grass for you to hide outside that you can use to eliminate them. Use your whistle to attract them. Once they are near, you can assassinate them.
Make sure to do it after you have performed an assassination at Sato Katsubei. After you have taken care of the small fries, you can either fight the big fish 1v1 or wait for the aggro to wear off and perform another assassination to make quick work of him. After defeating him, you will get Roaring Infamy, an epic Teppo, 320 Mon, and a quest item.
Endo Tomoyasu
The next one on the list is Endo Tomoyasu, who is located pretty far away. You can find him at Koyasan in the Kll region. Upon reaching the location, you will find out that your target is dead and Hori is the one who killed him.
If you are playing as Naoe, then this would be her first interaction with him. After talking to him, you will get 360 Mon. Further objectives will be unlocked after you talk to Hori Hidemasa again.
Switch to Yasuke and go to the same place you talked to him before. He will then provide you with intel about the other betrayers.
Sato Genta
Sato Genta, the next betrayer, is located northwest of Azuchi Castle at the military harbor in the Omi region. It would be pretty difficult to be stealthy here as he is surrounded by a lot of other samurai in the open.
You can use Yasuke here and use his gun to deal some damage from a long range.
Then, you can finish him by using Yasuke’s skills at close range. Santo Genta isn’t that tough of an opponent, and he will be only level 41, so defeating him won’t take much effort. However, the samurai near him may prove to be troublesome.
Another strategy you can use to kill him is by using Naoe. Approach him and use a smoke bomb. This will give you cover and a window to perform an assassination on him. Even if you don’t take him out in a single strike, you will take a chunk of his health, making the fight way easier. After defeating him, you will get Sorrowful Surrender, an epic Katana, and 370 Mon.
Itakura Shigezo
The fifth target on your list is Itakura Shigezo. You can find him at the Himeji Castle in the Harima region. This particular betrayer may be difficult for you to fight as Naoe, as he moves around a lot and is super annoying.
Yasuke might be a better choice here, as not only does he deal a great amount of damage, but he is a tank, too. As there will be many other samurai around Shigezo, it would be hard to assassinate him, so fighting him head-on may be better.
His level will be 41, so you don’t have to worry about him dealing a lot of damage if your equipment is decent and your level is high. Other than that, be wary of his kunai throw and leap attacks. After defeating him, you will get an epic Samurai Daimyo armor and 320 Mon.
Usami Yoshiko
The second last target is Usami Yoshiko. She can be found on the outskirts of Katano Castle in the Settsu region. Upon reaching the location, you don’t have to be stealthy or aggressive. Do not kill anyone, as everyone is a civilian there.
Go to Yoshiko and talk to her. She will tell you the reason for her betrayal, and after listening to that, it depends on you whether you want to spare her. We chose to spare her, but either way, the quest will proceed the same way. After you are done with her, you will receive 275 Mon.
Do not kill Yoshiko before talking to her, as she will be considered a civilian, and killing her will result in desynchronization. So, make sure not to swing your weapon at her or any other person in the area.
Masatoshi Nakahara
The last target on your list is Masataoshi Nakahara, who is located north of the Kameyama Castle in the Tamba region. You can use the fast travel point there; he will be just ahead. If you are playing as Yasuke, then shift to Naoe and stealthily go behind him.
Perform an assassination on him to take out at least half of his health. The rest of the fight is going to be difficult as there are many troublesome samurai around him. So it is better to fall back and perform another assassination. You can also just use a smoke bomb as a distraction to assassinate your target.
After defeating him, you will get a Warrior’s Garden, a legendary Tanto and 300 Mon. Then, return to Hori Hidemasa and talk to him as Yasuke. Upon talking to him, you will get an option to flirt with him, and the quest will end. You will receive Hori Hidemasa’s epic Helmet and gold (a crafting material).
