All Four Kuji-Kiri Locations In Before The Fall Quest



After surviving the ambush by the Onryo, Naoe recovers at Sorin’s temple and heads out to meet up with Tomiko in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. However, before starting the next story quest, players can find four Kuji-Kiri activities as part of the Before the Fall quest. Each Kuji-Kiri will take players into the events of Naoe’s past, leading up to the beginning of the game. Here’s how to find all the Kuji-Kiri locations for the Before the Fall quest in AC Shadows.

To launch an attack against Oda Nobunaga, players have to find some papers for Ise Sadaoki in the Belly of the Best quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Kuji-Kiri Location 1: Shinobi Warfare

The first Kuji-Kiri activity that’s a part of the Before the Fall quest can be found right after players exit the Makinoodera Temple at the start of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. After following the downhill path from the temple, players will discover Eboshigata Hachiman Shrine on the left.

After entering the shrine and reaching the other side of it, players will discover a Kuji-Kiri spot that they can meditate on to start the Shinobi Warfare. The Shinobi Warfare lets Naoe reflect on the memory of when Igan warriors attacked Oda Nobunaga’s convoy, forcing him to retreat. It also showcases one of Naoe’s first battles against a powerful opponent.

Kuji-Kiri Location 2: Mind and Body

The second Kuji-Kiri location for the Before the Fall quest can be found northeast of Kawachi Lost Pagoda in the Izumi Settsu region of AC Shadows. It’s a location deeply hidden within the hills of Kawachi Heights, which can be tracked down using undiscovered location markers.

Meditating at the Kuji-Kuri location will help Naoe reflect on the memory of when her father, Nagato, taught her the meditation technique. Later, Naoe helps Lady Matsu retrieve her family’s scrolls, which she says contain valuable lessons for Naoe.

Kuji-Kiri Location 3: A True Igan

The third Before the Fall Kuji-Kiri location can be found in the Katano Foothills area in the Izumi Settsu region of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The location can be found in the Rolling Glen, as Naoe will interact with the meditation spot and start the third quest called A True Igan.

A True Igan quest allows Naoe to reflect on the moment when Momochi Sandayu sent her on a reconnaissance mission to check with the soldiers at one of the watch towers he had lost contact with.

Kuji-Kiri Location 4: Traditions

The last Kuji-Kiri location that’s part of the Before the Fall quest can be found inside the Hideout in the Lost Hills area of Izumi Settsu. The meditation spot is located near the waterfall, and it will let Naoe reflect on the events leading up to the start of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
