The World of Warcraft Public Test Realm gives players several hints that suggest they may not have to wait very long to start enjoying Patch 11.1.5.
A recent build of the Patch 11.1.5 PTR introduced a new accessibility option that will help colorblind players better enjoy the game. Located in the Colors section of the Acessibility menu, fans will be able to customize the color of every quality of item in the game, ranging from Poor and Common items in World of Warcraft to Legendaries, Artifacts, and even Heirlooms. This option features a color picker and hex code input, offering countless choices for players to use. WoW content creator MrGM shared a video of this option in action on Twitter.
Item Rarity Color Change Option in WoW Patch 11.1
This new feature will help fans with various degrees of colorblindness or other vision loss better read the quality of items they obtain. However, this option is available to everyone, so anyone can freely customize the text of their item rarities to better suit their personal preferences.
Players are happy to see this new customization option coming in World of Warcraft Patch 11.1.5. While some fans have argued that the item quality colors in WoW have been codified for so long that changing them feels wrong, most recognize including the option for the colorblind community is a worthwhile endeavor. It is also a customizable, client-side choice, meaning players who don’t want to change anything can ignore it and enjoy the classic item quality colors as they did before.

Fans can expect an official announcement within the next few weeks.
