Secret Source Servants played an important role in the Genshin Impact’s Ancient Sacred Mountain, where some of them help Travelers in their adventure in the new map, while also unlocking an underground area beneath the city. One of them is called Ehecatl, and players can collect its empty shell after completing a certain quest and use it to get a hidden achievement.
To unlock the Ancient Sacred Map, Travelers need to start the Frozen, Rekindling Land Quest starting from the “Collective of Plenty” to the Skyfire Circlet. Only by doing this can the gate to the ancient city be opened with the help of a Secret Source Servant. This guide will further explain how to obtain the item called ‘That Which Was Once Ehecatl’ and how to use it in Genshin Impact to get an achievement.

How to Get That Which Was Once Ehecatl in Genshin Impact
Begin by starting the Frozen, Rekindling Land Quest in the Ancient Sacred Mountain. Once you step foot on the new map and face a locked door, interact with the immobile Secret Source Servant before it. The robot, who calls itself Ehecatl, will help you open the door to the Summoning Hall and light up the whole Ancient Sacred Mountain map.
Afterward, pick up the empty shell of Ehecatl as it runs out of power near the mechanism in the Summoning Hall. The Secret Source Servant will become a Quest Item called ‘That Which Was Once Ehecatl.’ You can see this item under the Quest tab in the Inventory.
Why Is It Always A Statue Mechanism? Achievement
After obtaining the quest item, teleport to Fallingstar Fields waypoint and enter the ruins in the southeast. If you haven’t unlocked the door yet (from The Way Into the Mountain Quest), go to the small trail on the left of the ruins and enter it from the hole above. Then, interact with the mechanism inside it to open the door.
Indwell a Tatankasaurus beforehand (or equip a Collective of Plenty playable character as the active character) as there will be Pulverite boulders coming down from the direction above. Use their sprint to destroy the incoming boulders.
Inside the ruins, head further until you see an altar in front of some enemies. Defeat the enemies before interacting with the shining spot and place the quest item ‘That Which Was Once Ehecatl.’
Afterward, a door will open that leads to a hidden room. This will also give you the achievement ‘Why Is It Always A Statue Mechanism?’ Inside the room are a Luxurious Chest and a few Ember Mora Chests. If you’re lucky, you may obtain a Sunset-Blue Obsidian Ring inside the Luxurious Chest as this item is only available in Precious or Luxurious Chest in Atocpan and Ancient Sacred Mountain.
You can use the Sunset-Blue Obsidian Ring to open a barrier on the west of Collective of Plenty. The room contains many 5-star artifacts that Travelers can collect.
