Temporal Archimedea Guide And Rewards

Temporal Archimedea Guide And Rewards

While Warframe

isn’t known for having a rich endgame, it does have a few pinnacle PvE activities for Tenno to pursue. One of them is Deep Archimedea, a gauntlet of incredibly difficult missions that award some of the game’s rarest resources, including Archon Shards and high-tier Arcanes.

Archimedea has found its way into 1999 through Temporal Archimedea, a variant of Deimos’ endgame activity with even harder monsters and a unique roguelike buff system. Today, we’ll be going over how Temporal Archimedea works, explain how its parameter system works, and showcase all available rewards you can earn from your weekly clear.

How To Unlock Temporal Archimedea

Temporal Archimedea is tied to Hollvania, Warframe 1999’s hub area. You’ll gain access to Temporal Archimedea upon reaching Rank 5 with

the Hex Syndicate
. Once that’s achieved, speak with Kaya Velasco in the Hollvania hub to access the Temporal Archimedea tab. You can find her in the back-left corner of the mall next to the pub where Minerva & Velimir are located.

Before you even attempt this activity, it’s important to mention just how difficult Temporal Archimedea is. This activity starts at Level 350 and scales to Level 375, featuring similar scaling to Steel Path with a full squad. Loadout and personal parameters also add another layer of difficulty to this activity. Ensure you have a large arsenal of strong Warframes and weapons before trying this activity.

Mission Parameters

Warframe Temporal Archimedea Modifiers

Unlike most endgame activities, Temporal Archimedea features a handful of unique modifiers that drastically increase this activity’s difficulty.

  1. Locked Loadouts: You must complete three missions in sequence with the same loadout. Once you start Temporal Archimedea, you can’t change your loadout.
  2. Limited Revives: Self revives are disabled, and bleedout timers get faster each time you go down. Allies will need to kill a Void Angel to revive you
  3. Enemy Scaling: Enemy HP/Shields are doubled, scaling 50% for each added squad member. Caps at 300%. Eximus enemies are more likely to spawn.

That alone makes Temporal Archimedea fairly difficult, but you can up the ante with parameters, optional modifiers that award bonus Research Points when you clear your Temporal Archimedea run. Research Points determine how many rewards you’ll receive from your run. The more parameters you meet in your run, the more rewards you’ll potentially receive.

Archimedea Parameters

Warframe Archimedea Parameters

Parameters are broken up into two categories: loadout parameters and personal parameters. If you want to maximize your rewards, you’ll want to meet every loadout and personal parameter. If you’re doing an Elite Archimedea run (explained later), then you can avoid one of these parameters and still receive Legendary-tier rewards; you’ll just be missing out on a cache of activity currency.

Loadout parameters restrict which Warframes and weapons you can use. You’re given one of three options in each loadout slot: Warframe, Primary, Secondary, and Melee. Loadout options are pulled across the entire game, not just what’s in your arsenal. If you want to easily hit these parameters, you’ll need a large arsenal of gear.

Weapon variants also count for loadout parameters. For example, if your primary slot calls for a Hek, you can use the base Hek, Vaykor Hek, or Kuva Hek to meet the requirement.

Personal parameters debuff your character for the entire Archimedea run. These modifiers range from stat debuffs under certain conditions to the inability to use certain items altogether. Pay attention to these debuffs while strategizing your loadouts. For instance, if your weapon options are weak but gear is enabled, you could lean on Arch-Guns and Specters.

Peely Pix Cards

Warframe Pix Cards

Unlike the

Deimos version of Archimedea
, 1999’s Temporal Archimedea game type has roguelite buffs you can activate before starting a run. These are known as Peely Pix Cards. You’ll get these cards from completing weekly Archimedea runs and from Kaya’s shop.

When you open a Pix Pak, you’ll be given five random cards to add to your collection. Each Archimedea mission may use one card. You can’t use the same card across multiple missions, but getting duplicate cards will rank up your Pix Card, similar to how Warframe’s mods work. Higher-ranked Pix Cards have better stats and are significantly more effective.

Pix Cards are not consumed when used. Don’t be afraid to use them during your weekly Archimedea clear.

Warframe Pix Card Selection

To equip a Pix Card, select the empty card socket next to each Temporal Archimedea mission. This will bring up a menu that allows you to select any card from your collection. Pix Cards apply in both normal and Elite Archimedea runs. Each member of your squad can bring their own card, allowing you to synergize certain effects if you can coordinate loadouts beforehand.

Clearing Temporal Archimedea

Warframe Temporal Archimedea Clear

Before you can start Temporal Archimedea, you must use two Netracell search pulses. This uses the same resource pool as Deimos’ Netracell and Archimedea missions. Keep this in mind before you unlock 1999’s Archimedea mode. Pulses reset weekly.

Completing the Temporal Archimedea is fairly straightforward, although that doesn’t mean it’ll be easy. Archimedea runs consist of three missions you must clear in a single play session. You aren’t able to adjust your loadouts between missions, so make sure you have your gear properly modded before you start. Bring a good Operator/Drifter weapon as well if your loadout is less than ideal.

Each mission in the Temporal Archimedea pool has two modifier types: Deviations and Risk Variables. Deviations are modifications to the mission itself. For example, the Noise Suppression deviation will spawn toxic-spewing enemies above the defense objective. Risk Variables are more generic modifiers that can apply to any game mode, such as faster enemies or enemy Overguard application.

You can attempt Temporal Archimedea as many times as you want, but you can only receive each reward cache once per week.

Elite Archimedea

Warframe Elite Archimedea Option

If you’re up for the challenge, there’s a tougher variant of Temporal Archimedea called Elite Archimedea, doubling the number of present Risk Variables while also increasing enemy level scaling. It’s not for the faint of heart, but you’ll get significantly more rewards from clearing Elite Archimedea.

You can unlock Elite Archimedea by completing Temporal Archimedea with every parameter active. This includes loadout parameters and personal parameters. We highly recommend getting a squad together before trying this. You only need to have the parameters active yourself to get Elite difficulty unlocked, so a friend without any modifiers active could carry you.
