  • Fans can take inspiration from creative buff stacking to increase traversal speed in game.

A Stardew Valley player racked up an incredible number of speed buffs, wowing other fans of the game by having seven speed buffs at once. While most long-time Stardew Valley players have figured out some good ways to get around the game as quickly as possible, it’s not common to see a fan running around with this many speed buffs all at once.

Stardew Valley has a pretty big map to explore, which has regularly grown larger with the addition of new areas, like Ginger Island. Since players have a limited amount of time they can spend on each day in Stardew Valley before their farmer falls asleep, moving at a faster speed is a big deal for most players. This particular fan’s strategy might be something others want to emulate.

New Game is Like Classic Pokemon Combined With Stardew Valley

A new game reveal showcases a title that blends the classic gameplay mechanics of Pokemon with the familiar elements of Stardew Valley.

A Stardew Valley fan going by FrightenedTrashPanda on Reddit shared a screenshot demonstrating a crazy number of speed buffs piled up all at once. In all, FrightenedTrashPanda had seven active speed buffs when they took their screenshot. While most players know at this point that Stardew Valley drink and food buffs can stack, it’s a far cry from the seven that the OP has put together here. In fact, while some fans might be envious of all of these buffs, FrightenedTrashPanda noted that by this point, it actually made the game a bit more difficult, as they would sometimes crash into solid objects while running around. However, it also made it so that they were able to readily escape many enemies, and could even avoid having items on the ground automatically placed in their inventory if they reacted quickly enough.

What Movement Buffs Did This Stardew Valley Player Use?

In all, FrightenedTrashPanda put together a clever combination of food, drink, combat, and special buffs to pull this off. Their list includes eating crab cakes, drinking espresso, getting the speed buff from the Statue of Blessings, going to the Calico Desert and getting the speed buff from the Calico Statue, eating spicy tacos from the chef during the Calico Desert Festival, and finally, combat speed buffs generated from the Golden Spur

and the Savage Ring

. As one can likely tell, this number of buffs wouldn’t be possible on any random day of playing Stardew Valley, and some of them will expire in mere seconds after earning them. However, for those brief moments, players who utilize this list of buffs should be practically flying around the map.

Stardew Valley fans use warps and other methods to get around the map as quickly as possible to achieve as much as they can in any given day. While achieving all seven of the buffs seen here may not be possible all at once for most players, fans should be able to take inspiration and guidance from the list to add one or two more buffs to themselves to make traversal faster.
