Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is coming up soon! At the moment, we’re still getting the core content from Chapter 6 Season 2, but players are already looking ahead to what’s coming next According to Fortnite leakers it’s something quite unexpected, another mini season.
Across all Fortnite seasons, we’ve seen mini seasons happen twice already. The first Fortnite OG, went back to Chapter 1, followed by Remix which reworked Chapter 2. While we expected some form of mini-season in 2025, it wasn’t expected quite this early. However, it seems the mini season will be arriving mid-chapter this time rather than at the end of a map’s life. That’s because the current mini season is going to feature a very specific theme.
It’s going to be a full Star Wars mini season. Every May we get a Star Wars event of one type or another. Usually, it’s skins in the item shop and weapons in-game. However, this year it’ll be taking over the game entirely. Fortnite leakers say a full Star Wars mini season will run from May 2nd through to June 8th. Taking the slot of Chapter 6 Season 3. What exactly can we expect?

What’s Coming with Chapter 6 Season 3?
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is beginning when we normally get our Star Wars update and it looks like the franchise will take over for four weeks. What exactly can we expect? A mini pass is probably coming, with new Fortnite skins. However, Star Wars is definitely running low on recognizable characters to make into skins. At this point they might have to go for crossover skins that make Jedi out of Meowscles or scrape the bottom of the barrel for more Star Wars skins.
In terms of in-game content, we’re expecting the same Star Wars items we get every year. Spam melee items that also block all gunfire. Not the most exciting prospect for Fortnite esports for the year. Although, leaks say the FNCS is being put on hold for Star Wars too.
The new season will likely run just or a month or so. If you’re not a Star Wars fan (or just tired of the yearly event), then it’ll be over relatively quickly! In the coming weeks, we’ll see more about what’s planned for the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 update and its content.
