Overwatch 2 first introduced Mythic Weapon Skins in Season 11’s mid-season patch. These special weapon cosmetics are available in the Mythic shop and have four unlockable levels. Available for purchase via Overwatch 2‘s Mythic Prisms currency, the first level costs 50, while unlocking all levels at once requires 80. As of Season 15, five of the 42 heroes have received Mythic Weapon Skins: Ana, Reinhardt, Soldier: 76, Ashe, and Widowmaker.
Overwatch 2 Season 16 is already confirmed to include a Magical Girl-inspired Mythic Weapon for Mercy. However, this doesn’t mean other heroes won’t get their chance to shine later on. After all, Team 4 has plenty of opportunities to get creative with the rest of the roster, especially with popular heroes who don’t rely on traditional gun-like weapons.

Popular Overwatch Heroes That Still Deserve A Mythic Weapon
Ramattra
Ramattra has been a popular figure in the Overwatch community since he was first revealed in the end credits scene of the Overwatch Archives Storm Rising event. Players have been vocally enthusiastic regarding the Omnic leader of Null Sector, particularly due to his lore and his compelling hero kit. When the Overwatch x World of Warcraft collaboration was first teased, fans of the hero-shooter were eager to see if Ramattra would get a Mythic Weapon Skin, speculating that the weapon showcased at the end of the Season 12 trailer was his staff.
Although it was eventually made clear that the weapon highlighted in the trailer was for Reinhardt’s Lich King skin, Ramattra is still more than deserving of a fully customizable Mythic Weapon Skin. A special Level 4 Mythic Weapon design should come equipped with a Flourish animation, Reactivity, Sound Effects, and Kill Effects. Fortunately, the developers have already proven fully capable of delivering quality skins for Ramattra, with his mains often pointing to the Poseidon Legendary Skin from Season 2 as a standout cosmetic.
Tracer
Since her debut in the first Overwatch beta, players were quick to fall in love with Tracer’s speedy, close-range, flank gameplay style. Considering that as of Season 16, Mythic Weapon Skins have, coincidentally or not, gone to heroes from the first Overwatch, it seems they may take priority over Overwatch 2 characters. As such, with Tracer being one of the 21 original heroes from Patch 1.0, she might have a better chance than newer characters like Hazard, Lifeweaver, or Mauga.
Some are hoping that a Tracer Mythic Weapon Skin could come by Season 18, but Blizzard has yet to reveal who is next in line after Mercy. Still, as a hero who hardly ever falls below A-Tier status in Overwatch 2, Tracer would be a great pick as a popular hero that is commonly played. Furthermore, Tracer already has a Mythic Adventurer Skin from Season 5. Based on Team 4’s development patterns, the only hero so far to receive a Mythic Weapon Skin without having a Mythic Skin first is Soldier: 76, which could indicate a special weapon for Tracer could already be in the works.
Reinhardt was a point of interest like Soldier: 76, but it’s worth noting that he first received his Bound Demon Mythic Weapon Skin in Season 11 and was later granted a Thor Mythic Skin in Season 14.
Venture
Venture has captivated a significant portion of the Overwatch community with their quirky humor and burrowing capabilities. Unfortunately, despite their prominence, there have been multiple controversies over the lack of Venture skins in Overwatch 2. Though Venture received a Legendary Toph skin in Season 13, their fanbase is still hopefully awaiting more cosmetics for the non-binary archaeologist.
Unfortunately, since Ashe and Widowmaker were recently given their own Mythic Weapon Skins in Seasons 14 and 15, it seems unlikely that another damage hero will receive one anytime soon. However, the concept isn’t impossible, as three Mythic Weapon Skins were just awarded consecutively to damage heroes, and Mythic Skins were granted back-to-back to support heroes Moira and Mercy in Seasons 9 and 10. Regardless, Venture’s Drill has plenty of potential for a future Mythic Weapon Skin.
Lucio
As one of the few support heroes included in Overwatch‘s 2016 release, Lucio is more than deserving of a few special-grade Mythic cosmetics. The only other support characters to receive a Mythic Weapon Skin are Ana and Mercy, making Lucio a strong contender for the future. As an underground DJ, there are exciting opportunities for Sound and Reactivity effects regarding his Sonic Amplifier. Perhaps similar to Ana and Widowmaker’s Mythic Weapon Skins, it will come with a satisfying Flourish animation to fiddle with in downtime or after earning a particularly flashy elimination.
