Marvel Rivals Adds Orange Venom Via New Pick-Up Bundle, Twerk Emote Coming Soon

A new update will go live later today in Marvel Rivals, and Venom mains have a lot to look forward to. Not only will you be able to turn everyone’s favorite symbiote bright orange, but he’ll also be able to twerk.

No, unfortunately, you didn’t misread that, nor are you having some sort of Rivals-fueled fever dream. Players have been busy unlocking cosmetics via the board game-style Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure and noticed a secret reward appear in the middle of the board. It looked suspiciously like a cave painting of Venom’s backside, and it turns out there’s a good reason for that.

The mystery item is a Venom twerk emote, and although you won’t be able to unlock it until April 1 (fitting) how it will look in-game has already been shared by those lucky enough to have been gifted it early. As you can see, once you unlock and equip the emote, you’ll be able to stop fending off enemies with your tendrils and have Venom shake what Knull gave him.

Those with a keen eye will have also noticed the twerking Venom in the clip above is bright orange. That’s because on top of being able to make Venom twerk, you will also be able to give the Rivals character an orange makeover. The Hyper Orange Venom skin will be added to the game later today, at 10 pm EST, via a new addition to Rivals that the devs have dubbed the pick-up bundle.

The pick-up bundle will effectively be a smaller battle pass, although exactly how much it’s going to cost seemingly won’t be revealed until it’s added to the game later today. Once the bundle has been purchased, players will immediately unlock the Hyper Orange Venom skin. After that, you will unlock a new reward for every three matches you play with sprays, name plates, and chrono tokens up for grabs.

The Pick-Up Bundle will also bring a new currency to Rivals – costume coins. Now and again, bundle owners will be rewarded with a costume coin. According to Miller Ross, who is a member of the Marvel Rivals creator program, there will be a new section on the in-game store where costume coins can be spent. There will be 32 skins to choose from when the bundle launches tonight. If there’s nothing in the costume coin selection you want, they can be exchanged for units instead, just like chrono tokens.
