It’s been a while since Hogwarts Legacy launched, with almost two years having passed since the game’s release. It was a smash hit for Warner Bros., something which it’s found itself in short supply of these days, so you’d naturally assume that there would be some sort of DLC or expansion to capitalize on its success.
According to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, that was indeed the case. However, the continued financial struggles for Warner Bros. after a completely disastrous 2024 has now reportedly caused Hogwarts Legacy DLC and a Definitive Edition package to be completely scrapped, despite them being planned for release at some point in 2025.
Hogwarts Legacy DLC And A Definitive Edition Have Reportedly Been Cancelled
NEW: WB Games has canceled a planned Hogwarts Legacy DLC and Definitive Edition, part of an ongoing restructuring at the organization following a dire 2024. The project was not yet announced but Bloomberg reported on it last year. The sequel remains in development. www.bloomberg.com/news/article…

Schreier claims that the DLC Definitive Edition cancellations was part of “an ongoing restructuring” of the video game unit at Warner Bros. Both projects were also reportedly cancelled as Warner Bros. was worried that there wasn’t enough content in the DLC to justify the asking price, which is still a mystery.
