Assassin’s Creed Shadows: How To Track Quests
You’ll need to now how to track new quests to know where to go next in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
However, do note that you won’t be able to locate the Godai of Wind unless you reach a certain point in the story. Also, this quest isn’t going to be easy, and finding all of your targets may take some time. However, to prevent that, we will tell you about how to find and beat them.
How To Start The Godai Shinobi Quest
You can start The Godai Shinobi by traveling the road south of Sakamoto. There, you will notice that a prompt will appear. While you can start it like this, there is another way to do so. However, for that, you would need to assassinate Akechi Kagemitsu, as it will unlock your interaction with Shotei, who can also assign this mission to you.
We recommend assassinating Akechi Kagemitsu first, as you won’t be able to complete The Godai Shinobi without it. The game will ask you to progress further in the story to find the Godai of Wind.
How To Find And Defeat All Godai Of Shinobi
The Godai Of Water
If you go to the location we told you above to initiate the quest without Shotei, you will face the Godai of Water. You may have difficulty eliminating your first target as you won’t be aware of their moves.
However, if you are over-leveled and using Yasuke, this will be more of a beatdown than a fight. She will aggro automatically when you investigate the area, so your best bet here is to play as Yasuke. He is a total beast and can make quick work of opponents that can be staggered. Upon defeating her, you will get a rare Typhoon Tanto and 260 Mon.
Every shinobi you will face in this quest will have a similar moveset. Just remember the moveset of the first target, and you will be able to easily beat all of them.
The Godai Of Fire
Your second target, the Godai of Fire, is located northwest of Mount Hei in the Omi region, just north of the fast-travel viewpoint. The best way is to stealthily go behind the target and perform an assassination. This way, you will take a massive chunk of your opponents’ health or, in the best case scenario, kill them.
However, if you are under-leveled, the opponent won’t let you assassinate them. If you want to play as Yasuke, then parrying and attacking are the best ways to kill him.
The Godai Of Void
The next target on your list is the Godai of Void. He can be found in a cave northeast of the Daikichiji Temple in the Omi region. Upon going inside the cave, a smoke bomb will go off, and your opponent will appear.
It won’t be tough fighting him as his fighting style is also the same as the rest of the opponents. After defeating him, you will be rewarded with Call of the Void, a legendary Tanto, and 295 Mon.
The Godai Of Earth
The Godai of Earth seems to have been the most troublesome one of all. He can be found in the Otaniinari Shrine northeast of Kuroda village in the Iga region. Approach him from the top of the fallen tree and perform an assassination.
If you are highly over-leveled, he will go down in one hit, but if you aren’t, only 50 percent of his health will deplete. The rest of the fight can be fought patiently. Bait his leap attack and perform a combo. This way, you will finish him off quickly. After defeating him, you will get Rooted Thrust, an epic Tanto, and 385 Mon.
The Godai Of Wind
The last target on your list could be found east of the Otogi Pass marker on the map in the Iga region. If you are having trouble locating her, go to the top of the Shimagahara Valley marker. As all of your targets have almost the same moveset, you won’t have any trouble defeating her.
However, do note that she will be the hardest target of all, so do not underestimate her. Be wary of smoke bombs and try to initiate the fight with an assassination, as this way, you may not even have to fight the opponent. After defeating her, you will get Iron Dispute, an epic Tanto, and 275 Mon. However, the real reward lies in the legendary chest she has been guarding. Upon opening that chest, you will get level 51 Masked Death, a legendary Katana. This weapon alone makes the quest worth doing.
Now that you have assassinated all of your targets, go back to Shotei. Upon talking to him, the quest will end, and you will receive Soaring Tatsu, a legendary Trinklet with Armor Piercing for Tanto Mastery engraving.
