First Act of Revenge Guide

The fourth main story mission in The First Berserker: Khazan, First Act of Revenge, will take players to Phraugh Village. If you’re getting stuck and have no idea how to proceed, this walkthrough will take you through the stage. You can also use this guide to locate all three Soulstones in the First Act of Revenge mission.

First Act of Revenge Walkthrough (Soulstone Locations)

As soon as the mission begins, look to the right to find the first Blade Nexus near a cabin (Cabin on a Cliff). Continue down the main path, passing a character named Duimuk. You can talk to him or just keep going.

Once you reach the split path, head to the right (the left path will proceed with the mission). Look on your right side while on this path to find an entrance to a cave.

You’ll find a couple of wolf enemies inside, Revenant of Adversity’s, Lacrima, and a couple of other little items.

Exit the cave, and you’ll find a big bear enemy waiting to be defeated. This area just loops around, so you can return to the main path now.

There will be another tough enemy waiting around here and a couple more Revenant fights. You don’t need to fight them every time, but if you want extra Lacrima of Circulations, this is a good way. You’ll need those to summon spirits to help you with boss fights.

Head through the gate and drop three levels to reach a new pathway leading to a cave opening. However, before you get inside, you’ll see a glowing red spot that looks like a Lacrima point, but beware, it’s actually a monster waiting to devour you. You can shoot the spot with your Javelin projectile or run past it, and wait for the worm to come out.

Go inside the cave, follow the path, and then you’ll see a room on the right with a ladder. Avoid it and keep heading straight for now. You’ll find yourself in a room with a couple of those worm enemies again.

But, there is a treasure chest here for the taking with some pretty useful loot for Khazan.

Now, with the side chest out of the way, head back to that room with the ladder that we passed by earlier.

Soulstone #1 in First Act of Revenge

Climb the ladder after you deal with the surrounding worms, and you will come across the first Soulstone of the mission.

After smashing the stone, you’re going to drop five levels to return to the entrance of the cave. From here, you will want to continue dropping lower until you hit the ground level.

Once you get down, a cutscene will start showing Khazan helping some villagers who are being attacked by monsters.

When the scene ends, you’ll be in a new area with two enemies ahead of you. There’s one to the right and one across the way, standing behind a huge hole in the ground.

Continue on the path to find the second Blade Nexus (Phraugh Village Dock). If you head up the nearby stairs, you’ll find a mechanism that can carry you across the way. This is a shortcut, but you won’t be able to use it until you reach the other side on foot. So don’t worry about it for now.

Make your way through the next section of the docks and climb the small ladder. If you look to the left, you can see some enemies on a boardwalk that are perfect for taking down with your Javelin projectile.

Keep following the path (there’s no way to get lost here), and head up the staircase to the back of the area. You’ll find two things up here: a closed gate and the other side of the mechanism. You can step on the switch if you want to be taken back to the other side near the Blade Nexus.

Now, approach the gate and hold B/Circle to open it.

Soulstone #2 in First Act of Revenge

After opening the big gate, loop to the left to find the second Soulstone in the mission. From there, proceed up the hill to the main path.

Walk a little forward, and you’ll get a tutorial showing how to drop wood on top of some monsters by throwing your Javelin at the structure above them.

Once the monsters are dealt with, you can find a hidden treasure chest by breaking down the door of the home that the enemies were standing in front of earlier. Head inside the house, climb the ladder, and you will end up in a side area with a chest full of loot. However, there is a monster up there, so be wary.

After grabbing your rewards, you can drop back down to the main path. Continue forward, and you’ll walk underneath a bridge. There will be a lot of enemies from here on out. You’ll find a ladder going down once you reach the end of this path. Exit the house, and you’ll find a new path that leads to a stone staircase. There are two dilapidated homes to the left and right of the path, and a bunch of monsters will try to get the move on you.

Head up the hill and keep heading up to find a body from which you can absorb Lacrima.

Once you’ve gotten the Lacrima, head down and then left on the new path across a bridge. If you look underneath, it’s a path we’ve tread on before. Now, head up the ladder.

Next, you will cross yet another bridge that leads to a new area with a couple of those cheetah-like beasts.

Take care of them and head forward on the path, which will lead to a little split. Head towards the right to find the next Nexus Blade (General Storehouse Entrance). Now, head in the other direction to find a small path through the mountain leading to an area with some monsters.

You’ll end up on a rooftop, and you’ll need to drop to the ground floor and enter a side door that leads to a room with a ladder and a huge door. Before opening the door, head up the ladder to find a loot-filled chest (along with some monsters).

Soulstone #3 in First Act of Revenge

Next, open the big doors, and you will see the third and final Soulstone in the distance. You can either run up to it and attack it or use your Javelin from a distance (after dealing with the Elite Enemy).

Next, head up the hill towards the windmill. A boulder will be pushed down towards you, so you’ll need to run away and dodge to the best of your ability.

Enter the new area where the boulder came from, and turn right. There will be a couple of baddies to deal with, but just follow the path until you reach a point where you must drop a level towards two wolves and a scaled beast.

Defeat them and run up the staircase to the right of the home. The stairs will wrap around the house and lead you to a bridge (and a rather tough bad guy).

Deal with the foe, and continue forward, crossing over a second bridge. The path will be linear from this point on, leading you towards a huge building that looks like the perfect spot for a boss fight.

Head towards the big door and open it to face the boss of this mission. We have a guide here for you if you’re having trouble defeating Volbaino.

You will earn the Fallen Guardian trophy/achievement once Volbaino is dealt with.
