BLAST Open Spring 2025 Quarter-Finals Preview & Predictions

The BLAST Open Spring 2025 Quarter-Finals are set to get underway, with two compelling matchups just around the corner. Both matches have the makings of a competitive affair, and it’s time to drop our preview and predictions for each.

MOUZ vs. G2

The first BLAST Open Spring 2025 Quarter-Final is between MOUZ and G2, two teams on very different trajectories at the moment. MOUZ look like a roster ready to compete for trophies, having already won PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 this year. A Grand Final appearance at ESL Pro League S21 has also helped their credentials as real challengers for the rest of 2025, even with Brollan in his first few events as an IGL.

Then, there’s G2, a team that even after losing NiKo, can still win any match on a coin toss, thanks to the brilliance of m0NESY. However, a coin toss isn’t a viable way to win trophies, and I don’t think they’ll have enough tactically to outsmart this MOUZ roster. Right now, the inconsistency of both malbsMd and HeavyGod puts a hard ceiling on what G2 can achieve. For BLAST Open Spring 2025, G2 could make things awkward for MOUZ with a map win, but I reckon a series victory is a stretch.

My prediction: MOUZ 2:1 G2

Spirit vs. NAVI

For me, Spirit vs. NAVI is the blockbuster matchup of the BLAST Open Spring 2025 Quarter-Finals. Spirit are a team so reliant on the form of donk, and even when he’s fully firing, it isn’t always enough to get the win. Luckily, the young prodigy is a remarkably consistent player, and I expect to see him on top form against NAVI in this one. Spirit’s victory here could come down to whether one of magixx or zont1x can join donk in putting up star numbers.

NAVI are a strange case. All does not seem well in their camp at the moment, and a Playoffs appearance at BLAST Open Spring 2025 actually papers over the cracks that have been rearing their ugly head frequently for this team. On their best days, they can still beat anyone, but those occasions are becoming few and far between. On their worst days, they could crash and burn, especially against a team with the overall quality of Spirit.

My prediction: Spirit 2:0 NAVI
