Genshin Impact: Best Team Compositions For Varesa

If you want to get the most out of Varesa’s kit in Genshin Impact, you’ll have to use her in one of these teams.

She is a must-have unit, and being a four-star character makes it a lot easier to get hold of her, unless you get extremely unlucky. If you pulled Iansan and are looking for some teams to make her work in, here’s a detailed rundown of her best team compositions.

Iansan can effectively use the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City artifact set, which gives her Elemental Energy while also buffing the Elemental damage for the rest of the party. Additionally, her ATK stats need to be over 2500 to get the full value of her kit.

Iansan provides a wide range of buffs which include ATK boosts, healing buffs, and DMG boosts for an active character. As such, she has the ability to work with almost any team, but with Varesa, she gets the best synergy due to Electro Resonance. In this team, Iansan will function as the primary support who will buff the entire team, especially Varesa.

Varesa is a main DPS who has massive damage potential on her own, and she is quite self-sufficient. This makes it easy to use her without too much investment. When you combine Iansan with Varesa, her damage is enhanced even further, as being a self-sufficient DPS, she spends a lot of time on the field, which helps make the former’s buffs even more valuable.

Furina’s presence in this team is to simply buff up the entire party even further than it already is with Iansan. She can also deal damage with her Elemental Burst, while her ultimate can increase the output of the DPS at the cost of draining HP. However, this problem is circumvented by the healing received from both Iansan and Xianyun.

Iansan’s ATK buffs rely on the active character moving around. Fortunately, Varesa has a lot of mobility, and she supports that playstyle, which helps create a synergy. Additionally, due to Electro Resonance, Iansan doesn’t need as much Energy Recharge and you can invest on her ATK stats instead.

Finally, Xianyun will help with the heals and also enable Varesa’s plunging playstyle. You have to remember that Xianyun increases plunging attack damage, which means Varesa will be able to clear all content in the game with ease while in this team, as long as enemies don’t have Electro resistances.

The general rotation for this team will be as follows:

  • Start with Furina and activate both her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. Both of these skills have a pretty long duration, and you need the HP reduction from all characters to get the most value.
  • Switch to Xianyun and activate her ultimate ability to receive the healing and plunging attack damage boosts. Quickly switch to Iansan after this and activate her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst as quickly as possible.
  • Finally, switch to Varesa and deal damage to all enemies.

Make sure Iansan has around 160 percent Energy Regen in this team so that her ultimate ability is back before a second rotation.

Xilonen

Iansan’s DMG and ATK buffs are quite significant for not just Varesa, but Mavuika as well, who is the best DPS unit in the game as of version 5.5. While in this team, Iansan will provide her usual buffs, but it also synergizes well with the rest of the party members.

Mavuika, while in her Rider mode, moves around a lot, and you need to be in that state to deal damage. As such, she doesn’t have any issues maintaining Iansan’s buffs since mobility is a requirement to maintain the ATK boosts.

Citlali is the primary support for Mavuka, who can provide shields while also reducing the enemy’s resistance when triggering a melt reaction. If you want, you can replace her with Furina, but Citlali and Mavuika have very good synergy, and she’s a requirement for optimal damage.

If you don’t have Xilonen, go with Bennett since he can also provide heals and ATK boosts. However, Xilonen’s bonus is a lot stronger and if you have her, there’s no point using Bennett.

Finally, Xilonen is a perfect unit to close out this team, since she can not only provide heals, but also a 36 percent debuff, which is massive to increase Mavuika’s overall DPS. Additionally, her healing is also very good, and you will be able to tank enemy hits.

The rotation for this team is as follows:

  • Start with Citlali and activate her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst at the beginning of the fight. Now, switch to Xilonen to activate her Burst and Elemental Skill, and attack the enemy a few times to trigger her debuffs.
  • Switch to Iansan after this and activate her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst to receive all the bonuses.
  • Finally, switch to Mavuika, activate her Elemental skill and deal damage, and finish it off with her Elemental Burst.

Iansan Aggravate Team

Iansan, Clorinde, Nahida, and Baizhu in Genshin Impact.

Character

Role In Team

Iansan

Support

Clorinde

DPS

Nahida

Buffer

Baizhu

Healer

Iansan being an Electro unit, can easily work with Dendro characters while triggering the Aggravate reaction and leading to massive team damage. The best part about this team is that the massive ATK buffs from Iansan can make the DPS deal high amounts of damage in addition to the scaling from the reaction itself.

Clorinde will function as the main DPS here, who can easily use Iansan’s buffs. You will have to play a plunging style, but that won’t be a problem with Clorinde and her high-speed attacks combined with a massive damage multiplier will wipe out most enemies very quickly.

If you want, Varesa is also perfect for this team instead of Clorinde and will probably work even better. However, bringing in a second DPS that can work with Yansan opens up more opportunities for players who don’t want to pull Varesa.

Nahida will function as the primary Dendro applicator here, who will also help boost the Elemental Mastery of the team. She is key to making this team function, and there aren’t any other units who can replace her. So if you don’t have Nahida, this team isn’t going to work.

Baizhu is a very powerful healer, and being Dendro, he simply helps maintain the Aggravate reaction without any issues. If you want, you can use Yaoyao in this team, but unlike Baizhu, the former needs field time, which leads to DPS loss.

The general rotation for this team is as follows:

  • Start with Nahida, where you tag all enemies with her Elemental Skill and activate her Elemental Burst. Switch to Baizhu after this and trigger his abilities right away.
  • Now, switch to Iansan to activate her abilities to receive all the ATK and DMG boosts.
  • Finally, Clorinde can now deal damage as long as possible until all the buffs run out, and you have to switch back to Nahida once again.

If you want, you can skip Baizhu entirely here and bring him in after Clorinde completes her rotation. However, Clorinde being a Bond of Life user can be a bit vulnerable, so it’s better to keep Baizhu’s shield and heal running for the additional safety.
