In Counter-Strike 2, the M4A4 has become more popular than ever. The gun recently got a price drop to $2,900, matching it with the equally popular M4A1-S. This made it more competitively viable, and as a result, it created more interest in the best M4A4 skins.
We’re here to show you some cool M4A4 skins across a variety of price ranges in CS2. There’s something for everyone here, even if you don’t want to break the bank.
Best M4A4 Skins in CS2
CS2 M4A4 skins are some of the most expensive skins the game has to offer. Because of this, they’re heavily sought after among players in the community, with the skin market exploding in recent years.
Here are some of the best M4A4 skins you can buy right now in CS2, including what I like to use in-game!
M4A4 Asiimov
The M4A4 Asiimov is a classic. Its sleek white and orange design makes it one of the most desirable Counter-Strike 2 skins, which means it’s also pretty expensive to find at higher wear ratings. If you’re willing to compromise and pick one up in Field-Tested, this is one of the best M4A4 skins in CS2 that won’t completely destroy your wallet. This is one of my biggest recommendations for cool M4A4 skins in CS2, although it’s one of those skins that you’ll see quite often on the server, so it’s not exactly unique.
M4A4 Buzz Kill
The M4A4 Buzz Kill is an extremely bold yellow skin. There are tons of little details on this one, and it can be easy to get lost staring at it. The good thing here is that it’s not too affected by CS2 wear rating, so you can compromise quite heavily on this one and still get a skin that outshines the rest. What I like most about this cool M4A4 skin is that there are tons of awesome yellow CS2 stickers you can add to it to give it an extra bit of snazziness. It goes extremely well with NAVI stickers, for sure.
M4A4 Etch Lord
There are lots of reasons to like the M4A4 Etch Lord. For starters, it’s a pretty low-key design, yet it remains one of the best skins for the M4A4 you can get in CS2. It’s not too loud, impressing instead with its subtlety. I adore how the M4A4 Etch Lord changes at lower wear ratings, taking on a completely different color the further down you go. You can pick up the Etch Lord for just a couple of dollars in Factory New, which is only a bonus for one of the best M4A4 skins.
M4A4 Eye of Horus
The M4A4 Eye of Horus is interesting because of how it uses a variety of colors on the skin, but makes them quite muted to give it a unique look. It was one of the last M4A4 skins released before the change between CS:GO and CS2, but I still reckon it’s one of the best overall. For most players, the only stumbling block here will be the price. Across all wear ratings, it falls anywhere between the $140 to $600 range, meaning it should be one you really love if you’re planning to pick it up. Still, I’m not here to show you the cheapest M4A4 skins – I’m here to show you the best!
M4A4 Howl
You can’t make a list of the best M4A4 skins and not include the M4A4 Howl – it would simply be blasphemy. This is one of the most expensive CS2 skins, and for good reason. Not only is it a visual dream, but it is also the only skin in the game with the Contraband rarity, after it was removed from cases many years ago. For a Factory New version of this skin, you can pay upwards of $7,000, and the price is only going to go up in the future. It’s a very cool M4A4 skin, but it’s also out of reach for many players.
M4A4 In Living Color
If you like a big pop of color, then the M4A4 In Living Color should be right up your alley. This is one of the busiest CS2 M4A4 skins, which means you don’t have to spend extra to improve it with some stickers. I think this is one of the best M4A4 skins in CS2, but the nature of its visual clutter means others are going to either love or hate this one. It makes my list of the best skins for the M4A4.
M4A4 Neo-Noir
The M4A4 Neo-Noir won’t win you any points for originality, but there’s a reason you see other players using it so often. It’s a classic for a reason, and has long been considered one of the best M4A4 skins in CS2. For a perfect price/appearance balance, you should look for the M4A4 Neo-Noir in Field-Tested. At about $8, it’s easily one of the best cheap M4A4 skins in the game.
M4A4 Spider Lily
The M4A4 Spider Lily is super committed to an artistic aesthetic, and I can respect that. It would almost feel like a shame to add any CS2 stickers to it and ruin its appearance. At just over $20 for the Factory New version, you won’t have to spend too much to pick up one of the best M4A4 skins here. This is one that I personally use, so I can give this my stamp of approval for those looking for cool M4A4 skins.
M4A4 Temukau
When it comes to CS2 Anime skins, you can’t get any better than the M4A4 Temukau. This skin was a hit when it was first added to the game, but has come down in price considerably since its initial release. In Factory New, this is one of the best M4A4 skins in CS2, but the issue is that it looks considerably worse at lower wear ratings. Factory New will cost you upwards of $100, so you should only pick up this cool M4A4 skin if you’re willing to shell out that sort of cash. For context, Battle-Scarred is around $7 at the moment, but looks so, so much worse.
M4A4 The Coalition
The M4A4 The Coalition isn’t doing too much, and that’s what I really like about it. It has a strong, bold design, but stops short of being visually overwhelming. This is another of the best skins for the M4A4 that I think could be a polarizing choice for gamers, but for me, this one’s a big W.
FAQs
Why isn't the M4A4 more popular in CS2?
A lot of players made up their mind about the M4A4 a long time ago, and it’s going to be a tough ask to have them change their ways. Even with the M4A1-S’ nerf, it still remains more popular than the M4A4. Old habits truly do die hard.
Why are M4A4 skins so expensive?
Its design is a strong canvas for a creative to build upon, and the community has jumped at the challenge. As a result, there have been some pretty incredible M4A4 skins over the years. They’re usually quite rare too. All of this means that the skins are really sought after by M4A4 users, which in turn increases the price by a lot.
Can I make money from the best M4A4 skins?
We’d be wary of trying to make money from M4A4 skins. The Steam Marketplace for Counter-Strike 2 can be volatile, with prices making huge changes for seemingly no reason. With hefty commission fees on both Steam and third-party sites, you’d have to be making quite a return on your investment in order to make it all worth your while. Sometimes, you’ll strike lucky with a skin that rises massively without much cause. But buying to make money? We’d put our money elsewhere.
Will the M4A4 be buffed?
At this point, it’s unlikely. The M4A4 has received plenty of buffs in recent times, mostly related to its price.
