Pokemon Pocket: The Best Cards In Triumphant Light
Arceus descends in Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Triumphant Light.
Of course, some cards are going to be better than others. Some ex will naturally have unique Moves, while the best Trainer cards can be used in any deck for an extra kick. So which cards are able to climb to the top of the hierarchy in the Shining Revelry expansion? It’s time to take your opponent to school and give them a good Paldean welcome.

Team Rocket Grunt
Stealing Your Opponent’s Energy
Team Rocket Grunt is the opposite of Misty. Rather than generating a free Water Energy each time you land on heads, this card takes one away instead. This can lead to one of your opponent’s Pokemon being completely drained of any means of attack.
Unlike Misty, Team Rocket Grunt is more generic. It doesn’t demand to be paired with any specific deck, and it doesn’t counter any one type. This allows it to slide into any playstyle that wants an additional way to stump their opponent.

Pokemon Center Lady
Heals For Everyone
Healing is vital in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Just one Potion can help you land another attack and turn the game around. While other types have their own way to heal even more HP each turn, Pokemon Center Lady gives players the option to crank up those heals just a bit more.

Pokemon Pocket: Best Trainer Cards In Triumphant Light
Triumphant Light has only four trainer cards, but all four have legitimate utility, making it the first set not to have a weak trainer card.
This card lets you heal 30 damage and remove any Special Conditions your Pokemon may have. This is incredibly generic and can be fitted into any deck that would prefer their Pokemon stay on the field longer.
9
Red
The Ultimate Trainer
Red is the original protagonist from Pokemon Red and Blue. This trainer is not just important for the franchise but one of the greatest Pokemon trainers of all time. In Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Shining Revelry set, he lends you his power against Pokemon ex.
You can use this card to give your next Pokemon’s attack an extra 20 damage against Pokemon ex. While not as expansive as Giovanni, the extra push can be just what some Pokemon need to achieve a one-hit KO instead of having to wait an extra turn.
8
Beedrill Ex
A Disruptive Sting
Beedrill ex is a stage two Pokemon that packs a punch at a cheap cost. This bug is no pushover. With 170 HP it can be quite tanky and 80 damage per hit is nothing to scoff at when it only costs two Energy.

So, which legendary Pokemon are the most powerful in Pokemon Pocket? Let’s find out.
Beedrill’s biggest advantage in battle is that it can knock off one of your opponent’s Energy each time it hits. This is also a guarantee and not reliant on any coin flips. When Beedrrill hits the Active Spot, you can stall and force your opponent to use up their Energy Zone to keep fighting back.
7
Gholdengo
Drowning In Steel Coins
Steel-types have had an incredible journey throughout Pokemon TCG Pocket’s lifespan. In this expansion, players can get their hands on Gholdengo. This card is essentially Celebi ex but as a stage one Pokemon with the Steel-type attribute.
Like Celebi ex, Gholdengo has no cap on how much damage it can do in one hit. Just keep flipping coins for each Steel Energy attached to it. With Dialga ex being able to generate two Energy at once, this combo lets Gholdengo reach limitless potential with even less setup.
6
Grafaiai
The Card That Poison Decks Needed
Venom lovers rejoice. Grafaiai brings an Ability many fans have been waiting for. While many Pokemon can Poison your opponent by hitting them with a specific Move or through an Ability that needs to be activated from the Active Spot, Grafaiai can do it from the Bench.

Common Pokemon Pocket cards are some of the most overlooked cards in the game, but you can’t deny the power behind these cards.
Poison Coating lets you flip a coin. If you land on heads, your opponent’s Active Pokemon is now Poisoned. This is great because it makes other Darkness-type Pokemon that get stronger while your opponent is Poisoned, be able to tap into that damage boost without switching out.
5
Pachirisu
Surging With Energy
Everyone loves Pokemon that can crank out Energy for their teammates. Manaphy does it, so can Moltres ex and Dialga ex. Pachirisu from Shining Revelry can do it too for the Electric-type. This Pokemon may not be able to Evolve, but it can power up your strongest Moves.
For one Energy, Pachirisu can deal ten damage and put one Electric Energy from your Energy Zone to one of your Benched Pokemon. Being a single-point Pokemon means it can also get knocked out without you having to worry about instantly being in a critical situation.
4
Lucario Ex
Mastering Aura
Lucario ex is a decent fighter all around. As a Fighting-type, it can already take advantage of the other Lucario’s damage-buffing Ability. It can also utilize the same pre-evolution, allowing it to fit nicely in a deck without taking too much space either.

Being able to hit for a solid 100 damage and deal damage to the Bench at the same time is an excellent way to get cards like Cyrus online. If you play your cards right, you might even be able to knock out two Pokemon at once the second time Aura Sphere hits.
3
Bibarel Ex
Constantly Regenerating
Bibarel ex is here to build a dam in your opponent’s path. As a Colorless-type ex Pokemon, Bibarel ex is generic enough to be used in any deck. It can also take advantage of any Energy acceleration technique that isn’t too restrictive with its wordings.
For four Energy, Bibarel ex can use Carefree Press to deal 100 damage and heal itself for 30. With 160 HP to start with, it can be pretty beefy and hard to get rid of unless you focus on dealing super-effective damage.
2
Meowscarada
This Cat Scratches Hard
It’s good to see a single-point Pokemon that can deal some heavy damage to ex Pokemon. This makes it easier to land some extra damage on your opponents while reducing the chances of your opponent getting a point lead on you.

Whether you like to battle or are just here to collect, we can all agree, there’s some beautiful art in Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Triumphant Light.
Meowscarada does 60 damage for two Energy with Fighting Claws. If it hits a Pokemon ex, you can deal an additional 70 damage. That’s 130 damage in one hit, which can be deadly, even if your opponent uses another card to protect their 120 HP Pokemon ex from a one-hit KO.
1
Charizard Ex
Charizard Returns
Charizard ex allows the classic Charizard deck to breathe a little easier. This is because, unlike the Charizard ex from Genetic Apex, this one can provide its own form of Energy acceleration through its Move, Stoke. Goodbye, Moltres ex.
For one Energy, Stoke immediately lets you put three Energy onto Charizard ex. By the next turn, you’ll have enough Energy to use Steam Artillery. This lets you do 150 damage each turn. You also don’t need to discard Energy after using it, so you get more consistency.
