Xbox Testing New Game Hubs Feature

Xbox has rolled out a new Game Hubs feature for Xbox insiders. Xbox has been on a continuous mission to provide a seamless, fresh, and smooth experience for gamers. The company’s Xbox Insider program has allowed members to experience loads of alpha and beta versions of features that it further develops to add to that unique Xbox experience.

Xbox Insiders get to experience early software updates to test and review features that are still in development, which means an early look at the future of Xbox as a platform. Whether it be simple quality of life updates or big advancements such as AI integration, Xbox has been making waves by continuously trying to improve the consoles’ performance. One new update which will be experienced first by Xbox Insiders is the Game Hubs feature.

An update for Xbox consoles from Microsoft could make it simpler and more convenient to acquire updates for games players own.

Xbox Insiders who are part of the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring will be able to see the new Game Hubs feature. These Game Hubs will appear when selecting a game, and will list useful information relevant to the player, such as stats, achievements, friends who are playing, captures, and more. And while this feels like an extra step before playing, those rushing to go straight to gaming will be able to double-tap the A button since the default focus in the hub will be on the Play button. With Xbox Dashboards having gone through many big changes before, gamers will be glad to know that this Game Hubs feature can be turned off if it feels too cumbersome for some.

What Does The New Xbox Game Hub Look Like?

Xbox has also mentioned that Game Hubs may provide slightly different experiences to what someone else sees while the feature is being refined. However, the general feel is somewhat similar to how the Xbox App shows various information beside the game splash screen. Twitter user aRandomWiseGuy has shared a screenshot of what the new update will be bringing to Xbox console users, which is actually similar to how the screen looks when running a game from the My Games tab, except that instead of a description, the various statistics are onscreen.

Xbox and Microsoft are trying their best to be innovative and ahead of the game by trying to focus their efforts on improving the system in general. WIth Xbox recently receiving huge updates such as a Support Virtual Agent for Xbox, among other things, the platform has been testing out many other new things to keep the gaming experience fun and easy. The Xbox Insider program itself has been successful in rolling out features and tweaking them for users as necessary.
