Atomfall is a very open game, giving you the freedom to explore at your own rate. There are locked doors everywhere and various keys you can get your hands on. The more you get, the more chance you have of finding the secrets hidden around the world.
One of the keys you’ll get early on in the game is the Concrete Shelter Key, but it’s not clear what you unlock with it. You’ll need to explore to find what the shelter the key is for, and it’s a smart thing to do as soon as you can.
How To Get Concrete Shelter Key
You’ll likely find the Concrete Shelter Key in the first hour of the game. You’ll be told to go and see Molly for some information on the Exchange and to trade for some items.
She’s carrying various items, but she also stocks the Concrete Shelter Key for you to trade for. She’s in the northern area of Slatten Dale, in a broken house. Speak to her to trade for it.
What The Concrete Shelter Key Unlocks
The description of the key says it opens a bunker door around the opening area of Atomfall. Thankfully, the location isn’t far from where Molly is.
If you head west from Molly’s position, up a hill towards the huge broken bridge, you’ll find a bunker on your right. That is the door that the Concrete Shelter Key opens, and it gives you access to a labyrinth of sewer tunnels that’ll be really useful as you progress through the story.
If you find the shelter before getting the Concrete Shelter Key, you’ll find a note to the left of the door, which tells you you can get the key from Molly for “a fair price.”
It will be one of many keys you find while playing Atomfall, and it’ll stay in your inventory once you use it to open up the bunker.
