Invincible Season 3 delivers a rollercoaster of events, culminating in a finale that left fans eagerly anticipating what’s next. The season masterfully intertwines multiple storylines, each being some of the best superhero stories we’ve seen in a while.
From the destruction of the world in the Invincible war arc, thanks to Angstrom Levy, to Conquest’s appearance in the final episode, we finally got an adaptation of some of the best story arcs in Invincible. As the dust settles, several key developments are happening in the background, showing us what’s to come in future seasons.
Angstrom Levy And The Technicians
Angstrom Levy’s journey throughout Season 3 is in the background as he spies on Mark from his base of operations and comes up with his plan for vengeance against him.
At the end of Season 2, he has a confrontation with Mark that leaves him severely disfigured, and initially thought to be dead. But Levy’s desperation drives him to seek assistance from the Technicians, a group of cybernetically enhanced beings from a post-apocalyptic dimension.

They agree to heal Levy’s injuries using their advanced technology, but their aid doesn’t come free. Levy must fulfill undisclosed objectives for them. After the Invincible War arc, Angstrom Levy just barely escapes the clutches of Invincible, only to be stopped by The Technicians themselves.
They no longer want to help him until he gives them what he promised, something that has not yet been revealed in the story. Who knows what The Technicians are planning?
The Sequids
The resurgence of the Sequids introduces a subplot that threatens global security once again. Rus Livingston, the former astronaut who previously fell victim to these parasitic alien creatures, is depicted in the finale amassing an army of Sequids from the sewers.
The Sequids possess the terrifying ability to dominate their hosts completely, effectively creating a legion of mindless drones under their control. Livingston’s actions suggest a plan to unleash the Sequids on Earth, potentially leading to widespread chaos and destruction.
Conquest’s Fate
In the climactic finale of Invincible Season 3, Mark Grayson faces off against Conquest, one of the strongest Viltrumites of the empire.
The battle is intense and destructive, destroying cities and killing countless people, while pushing Mark to his physical and emotional limits. After seeing Atom Eve killed right in front of him, Mark finally stops holding back and lets loose on Conquest.
However, a plot twist reveals that Eve cannot die from physical injury, reconstructing her body at the atomic level and shooting Conquest with a beam that burns most of his body. Despite both sustaining severe injuries, Mark manages to overpower Conquest, headbutting him to near death.
While Mark believes he has killed Conquest, it’s later revealed that Cecil has secretly imprisoned the Viltrumite in a high-security underground facility.
Cecil’s intention is to extract information about the impending Viltrumite invasion, but the plan spells destruction, as Conquest isn’t a being you can hold in a prison like that.
Invincible Season 3’s Post Credit Scene
The post-credits scene of Season 3 reintroduces Damien Darkblood, the demon detective previously banished to Hell by Cecil back in Season 1.
In this scene, Darkblood performs a ritual to summon his master, referred to as the Dark One, and seeks forgiveness for his past failures.
He informs the Dark One of a powerful “surface dweller” with a “blackened heart” who could be bound to their service. This storyline is not present in the comics, so it’s completely original, and we have no way of knowing where it will go.
All these developments in the Season 3 finale concluded existing story arcs and laid the groundwork for new challenges in the upcoming season.
