Varesa is one of Iansan’s pupils in Genshin Impact. One may get the impression that she’s the Xiangling of Natlan, given that she loves eating and always looks for local delicacies wherever she goes. However, behind that, hides a figure often described as a superhero by the children’s legends.
Despite her love of eating, longing for leisure, and her clumsiness, Varesa is a force to reckon with in battle, especially with the right teammates. Therefore, players who wish to maximize what their Varesa can do can consider the following Varesa team comp in Genshin Impact.

Varesa + Furina + C6 Iansan + Xilonen
Varesa is a very strong DPS in Genshin Impact. For that, you can team her up with the best buffers to maximize all of her Plunges.
Furina is easily one of the best supports in Genshin Impact because of her good off-field Hydro DPS alongside her Elemental Burst’s amazing DMG buff. Xilonen is also a top-tier buffer and debuffer, especially when the team meets her buffs’ requirements.
Although Iansan is a 4-star character in Genshin Impact, she’s actually one of the best buffers in the game, especially on her C6. Iansan greatly buffs Varesa’s ATK% from multiple Skills and Constellations in her kit, which is very good for her since she has a high Base ATK. Above all that, Iansan also buffs Varesa’s DMG by 40% and 25% from her Artifacts and C6, respectively. This is easily the best team for Varesa in Genshin Impact because every character barely spends any field time while greatly increasing her DPS.
Team Roles
- Varesa: Main DPS
- Furina: Sub-DPS, support, healer, buffer
- Iansan: Support, buffer, mini-healer
- Xilonen: Support, buffer, debuffer, healer
2
Varesa + Nahida + Iansan + Baizhu
Considering Varesa’s buffer team can be a bit expensive or ruin other teams, you can team Varesa with Nahida and Baizhu to add the Aggravate reaction to her Plunges. Since Varesa should have a massive Crit value in her build, it will also notably increase the DMG of each Aggravate she triggers. Not only that, but Nahida and Baizhu will work together to increase the team’s Elemental Mastery and Dendro reaction DMG in Genshin Impact.
You can replace Baizhu with Xianyun and build the latter on Viridescent Venerer to increase the value of Varesa’s Plunge attacks and decrease enemies’ resistance to Electro. You can also replace Iansan with Sara since she’s also an exclusive Electro buffer that notably increases Electro Crit DMG, which is ideal for the Aggravate reaction. However, what’s not ideal is how uncomfortable the team rotation will be, since her buff only lasts for six seconds, while Iansan’s buffs last much longer. So, always keep this in mind if you plan to team Sara with Varesa in Genshin Impact.
Team Roles
- Varesa: Main DPS
- Nahida: Sub-DPS, support, buffer
- Iansan: Support, buffer, mini-healer
- Baizhu: Support, shielder, healer, buffer

Varesa + Chevreuse + Iansan + Bennett
It’s possible to build a Varesa F2P team in Genshin Impact. In order to pull this off correctly, team her with Chevreuse and make sure the team only has Electro and Pyro characters. This will activate Chevreuse’s passive ability will shred enemies’ resistance to Pyro and Electro by 40%, which is great for Varesa. On top of her debuff, Chevreuse also increases Varesa’s Electro DMG by 40%. Add the Pyro Resonance, which will further increase Varesa’s ATK%, and you’re already loaded with buffs.
If adding Chevreuse makes Varesa’s teams too demanding, you can replace her with Zhongli. He’ll protect Varesa during combat and reduce opponents’ resistance to Electro DMG. This will create more freedom to replace Bennett with any other character.
In this Varesa team, Iansan and Bennett will work together to further increase Varesa’s DPS. Although Iansan and Bennett are 4 stars, they’re both top-tier buffers in Genshin Impact.
Team Roles
- Varesa: Main DPS
- Chevreuse: Support, buffer, debuffer, healer
- Iansan: Support, buffer, mini-healer
- Bennett: Support, healer, buffer
