Wednesday’s stalker could be a friend, relative, or fellow student, but this fan theory suggests something even more compelling. Redditor @Equivalent_Tower1996 wrote:
“I think the stalker could be a shapeshifter. The shapeshifter would be able to supply the show’s detective noir aesthetic, wednesday would be in search of a stalker, while the stalker continues to mess with wednesday in different forms.”
Some fans posted in the Reddit thread and agreed this would be a good idea. If the Wednesday season 2 stalker is a shapeshifter, then they would keep Wednesday on her toes and confuse her at every turn. This would definitely be a memorable twist that would be worthy of finding out that Tyler Galpin is the Hyde Monster. It would be intriguing if Wednesday kept thinking that she figured out her stalker’s identity and then saw another character spying on her. It would take her a while to learn the truth, but once she did, she would likely be shocked.

What Supernatural Elements Could Be Included In Wednesday Season 2?
Since the students at Nevermore Academy have magical powers, it seems likely that Wednesday season 2 will dive deeper into this part of the series. Wednesday’s psychic powers should be a big part of season 2 as it would be funny to see Jenna Ortega’s character struggling to figure them out. Since she’s so self-assured, she would likely be frustrated that she still has a lot to learn about using her powers. But maybe Wednesday could participate in some Nevermore traditions while learning more about her gifts, which would be fun to see.
Based on what showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have said, it seems that the characters’ powers are one of the most important aspects of Wednesday. In a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Millar talked about pop culture inspirations for the first season and said:
“We’ve always loved the genre and Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, certainly, but I think, for us, Stephen King and Tim Burton…”
Stephen King’s impressive body of work has inspired so many showrunners and filmmakers, and Millar said he and Gough also thought about some of the aspects of King’s books when working on Wednesday season 1. Millar mentioned “The Stephen King element of small towns and teenage emotions run rampant.”
As for Wednesday season 2, Nevermore Academy will still be front and center, and perhaps viewers will see Wednesday’s powers come out in full force. Gough said:
“We wanna sort of explore and sort of complicate all of those relationships going forward. The school was closed when they left, which gave us the most possibilities for season two, and I think that’s something that we’re excited to explore.”
