When it comes to powerful characters, there is one that always pops up and that is Kamish, also known as the Inextinguishable Flame. Kamish has only briefly been mentioned in the Solo Leveling anime, and fans who want to know more about the majestic beast can read on to see how strong it truly was and how it compared to other major threats seen in the story so far.
Who Is Kamish The Inextinguishable Flame?
- A Majestic And Powerful Dragon In Solo Leveling
- Killed Multiple S Rank Hunters
If there’s one thing that fans learned from Solo Leveling Season 2, it is that some beasts can far surpass the imagination of how strong they can be in combat. In the Jeju Island Raid, fans expected the King to be strong, but nobody truly believed that the King would be as strong as he was shown to be. He was strong enough to wipe out many S-Rank Hunters and even one who was deemed to become a National Level Hunter in the future, Goto Ryuji. Fans know that the Ant King ended up becoming a massive threat in Solo Leveling, but was eventually put down by none other than Sung Jinwoo.
Are you the king of the humans? — Ant King to Sung Jinwoo
Kamish, on the other hand, is an entirely different beast. Kamish was a western dragon that first appeared as the boss of the first S Dungeon in history. This happened in America, and when the Dungeon broke, it led to the entirety of the West Coast being wiped out. Hundreds of S-Rank Hunters were engaging it in battle, and in the end, only 5 managed to hold up to its might, leading to its eventual defeat.
The Strength Of Kamish In Solo Leveling
Kamish was so strong that it was referred to as humanity’s greatest calamity, and that in itself paints quite a picture of how strong he truly was. Had the 5 S-Rank Hunters not banded together, Kamish would’ve decimated them individually and that, again, goes to show his immense powers.
In the end, 5 Hunters united to face Kamish and managed to kill it. — Narrator

With tremendous durability, extreme firepower, and the potential to erase countries, Kamish was truly a beast like no other. Fans often wonder how strong Kamish was when compared to the Ant King from Jeju. The truth is that this isn’t even a fair comparison. Kamish would decimate multiple Ant King Level enemies and that’s the truth of it.
How Kamish Was Finally Defeated In Solo Leveling
The Collaboration Of Five Powerful Hunters Led To Its Defeat
In the end, Kamish was defeated by the collaboration of five S-Rank Hunters who remained on the battlefield after the destruction of the West Coast. These were Christopher Reed, Thomas Andre, Liu Zhigang, Siddharth Bachchan, and a Hunter from Brazil. Without their terrific effort, defeating a beast as strong as Kamish would’ve been impossible.
Solo Leveling Season 2 episode 13 is set to release on March 30, 2025 at 12 AM JST on ABEMA and Tokyo MX. Fans can watch the episode on Crunchyroll, and, in doing so, support the official release of the anime.
