Godzilla X Kong

Giant Monsters Attack

Fortnite adds characters that you wouldn’t even expect in the game. In fact, sometimes the body type is so strange no one would even think getting them to fit into the Fortnite style would work. Yet Godzilla not only managed to get in but arrived as both a playable size and a giant kaiju on the island.

Of course, Godzilla didn’t come alone. Kong and Mechagodzilla also made an appearance, with Mothra being included as a clever glider. Lucky players would also be able to spawn as a giant Godzilla and use his atomic breath on players down below.

Hatsune Miku

The Most Iconic Virtual Idol

Anime skins have been around for quite a while, and it all culminated in the addition of one of the greatest Vocaloid idols in history. Hatsune Miku finally arrived in Fortnite, along with Miku-themed instruments, jam tracks, and alternate outfits.

Miku also featured heavily in Fortnite Festival with her own Festive Pass. Now Miku can fight alongside other anime legends such as Goku and even be side by side with Godzilla once more. However, why spend the whole match fighting when you can emote and sing together until the final circle closes?

The Avengers

An Entire Season Dedicated To A Collaboration

One of the greatest collabs in Fortnite took up a whole season. This was back in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 4, in which Tony Stark, Wolverine, Thor, and many others were brought onto the island to face off against Galactus.

This collab is one of the more extensive ones since the crossover was more than just a few skins in the game. There were in-game crossover items to use against opponents, such as Wolverine’s claws, new locations such as Stark Industries, and a plot revolving around getting the Avengers back home.

Peter Griffin

The Long Road Towards Fortnite

Peter Griffin is a special collaboration since it was originally leaked through the game files. A few unused images of Peter Griffin fighting the Giant Chicken were set to be transmitted through a bunch of televisions across the island.

It wouldn’t be until Chapter 5 that Family Guy would finally get a collaboration with Fortnite as it brought many iconic references to the game. This includes the aforementioned Peter Griffin in the battle pass, the Giant Chicken in the shop, and a nod to the Petercopter as a glider.

Jack Skellington

Fortnite Begins To Touch The Disney Universe

The Jack Skellington skin was added to the game during Halloween to coincide with a spooky event that took over the entire island. Luckily, since this specific skin thematically matches both Halloween and Christmas, chances are it will get added back into the shop during the Winter.

Sadly, Jack is the only skin added from the franchise, but he does come with a lot of extra accessories. Besides his iconic outfit, you can also utilize a custom-made glider and backpack that each match his chilling persona. He is also one of the first skins associated with Disney to pop up but not the last.

Jujitsu Kaisen

A Supernatural Anime Arrives

Fortnite has been collaborating with many different famous animes, converting these 2D characters into their 3D shooter. While the original anime art style in Fortnite was a little hard to look at, the more recent collabs, such as Jujitsu Kaisen, look simply fantastic.

This collab added four of the most important characters from the anime, such as Gojo Saturo, and some unique items like Nobara’s hammer and nails. Since the anime is only increasing in popularity, chances are that these skins will get added back to the shop soon, perhaps with even more characters.

The Power Of One For All

My Hero Academia is yet another anime that added a large roster of characters to Fortnite, such as Midoriya and Todoroki. This anime focuses on people who wield different superpowers known as quirks, so every collab adds some pretty powerful abilities to the game.

Fans of the show will be happy to note that you can use the Deku Smash ability whenever there are My Hero Academia skins in the shop. This energy blast only has three charges, but it unleashes a massive rainbow explosion that nearly one-shots anything in a large area.

Anakin Skywalker

Eliminating The Women And The Children Too

While there has been a plethora of different Star Wars characters added to Fortnite, none have been as requested as Anakin Skywalker. This famous anti-hero has finally made his way onto the battlefield, sporting his dark outfit from the Revenge Of The Sith film.

As with every Star Wars event, lightsabers are always added to the game, and these glowing swords deal massive amounts of melee damage while also unlocking unique force abilities. Sadly, since the lightsabers are already weapons within the game, you can not use these lightsabers as a pickaxe.

Dragon Ball Z

The Most Iconic Anime Character Of All Time

Although Dragon Ball Z was only the second anime collaboration in the history of Fortnite, this event brought some interesting changes that shifted how these collaborations worked. Specifically, on top of delivering a larger number of skins that are based on characters from the anime, this event also added two incredibly powerful items to the battle royale.

Specifically, while these skins were in the shop, you could pick up the Kamehameha ability in the game, which shoots out a massive laser of blue energy that deals devastating amounts of damage to players and structures. You could also pick up the yellow nimbus cloud, which launched you safely into the air and allowed you to glide around the map to reposition yourself.

LeBron James

A Slam Dunk

Fortnite does not only dip into famous singers or actors but also enjoys including famous athletes, such as LeBron James, in their game. While this collaboration event did not bring any new gameplay into the battle royale, the quality of the cosmetics is simply too great to ignore.

The entire cosmetic line has a gold and black aesthetic and different reactive outfits that change the more takedowns you acquire. Furthermore, this collab comes with some incredibly stunning wings that can be changed from black to gold.

One Sweaty Skin

Similar to other musical collaborations, the Travis Scott event featured a concert and a cosmetic pack that included a skin of the famous rapper shirtless. While these concerts never add any new mechanics to the game, they are certainly fun to experience with friends if you are all fans of the artist.

Furthermore, the Travis Scott skin has consistently been ranked as one of the best skins in the game, and it even came with a rare weapon wrap and glider. Since then, the skin has been adopted by the competitive side of the community and dubbed a sweaty skin.

If you are a fan of the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then you are seriously in luck. While not every character can be added to the game, a massive number of them have iterations inside Fortnite and commonly return to the shop with similar superhero skins.

Miles Morales got his own skin to coincide with a Spiderverse movie, and the skin itself even allows you to choose between a masked or unmasked variant. Furthermore, a Spider-Man event is always a fun time, since there are spider gloves added to the game that allow you to swing around during combat.

While this world-famous anime does not feature flashy powers, the Attack on Titan collab created one of the most exhilarating eras in Fortnite history. This collaboration event included three skins for Eren, Mikasa, and Levi, and while all these skins were certainly nice, the true content of the collaboration was on the battlefield.

Fortnite went out of its way to add the Omni-Directional-Movement Gear from the anime into the game, which could be picked up from random chests. This item allows you to zip around the map incredibly fast, and even aim attacks with the attached swords to deal some deadly damage.

Fortnite is constantly collaborating with famous musicians, but none are as popular as the worldwide superstar Ariana Grande. For this event, Ariana entered the game with various different skins, and she even hosted her own concert within Fortnite, allowing people from around the world to get together and listen to her music.

The Ariana Grande collab truly was a smash hit, simply because the skins came with several different outfits that changed the outfit of the skin itself. Also included with the Skin pack was a glowing glider made out of crystalized wings, which quickly became one of the best cosmetic gliders in the entire game.
