Pokemon TCG Fan Creates Impressive Mirror Based on the Cards

A Pokemon fan has shared the clever mirror they’ve created based off of a Pokemon TCG card. The unique Pokemon TCG-themed design pays tribute to a Pokemon favorite while also producing a humorous mirror for one to look into.

While not every Pokemon fan is into collecting and playing Pokemon TCG, the series has been around for so long that almost any fan could recognize one of the cards. This particular Pokemon TCG creation is based off of a Gen 1 Pokemon, making it even more recognizable.

Some Pokemon TCG Destined Rivals Pre-Orders Have Been Canceled

Some Pokemon TCG fans are noticing that their pre-orders for the Destined Rivals expansion have been canceled in the Pokemon Center online store.

Reddit user Timoo42 shared the Pokemon TCG mirror they’ve created, with an amusing selfie taken of its reflection. The mirror, which is vertically aligned, is essentially one large Pokemon card, with frosted glass used to make up the background of the card, while areas like the trim of the card and the insert, where a Pokemon would ordinarily appear, are fully reflective. This allows the person looking at the Pokemon card to be reflected where the Pokemon’s portrait would normally be, allowing the viewer to essentially take the Pokemon’s spot. It would be a clever enough design based off of any Pokemon, but this one is particularly inspiring amusement in the community because it’s a Snorlax card.

Pokemon Fans React to Snorlax Mirror

Numerous users have shared their amusement at the mirror, with several saying that they either think it’s a great idea or that they’d like to have one themselves. Some joked that the OP must be a fun guy to be around, probably based on the idea of the card and the excited expression on Timoo42’s face when they took the photo. Timoo42 noted that they love the mirror and that Snorlax is their spirit animal. While some fans might like to see themselves reflected in the card as their favorite powerful pocket monster, there is something amusing about seeing one’s self as the chronically sleepy and hungry Pokemon.

With over a thousand Pokemon and more likely to join the roster in the upcoming game, fans have a tendency to pick favorites and celebrate them in unique ways. Nothing can take Snorlax’s place as the iconic sleepy Pokemon of Gen 1, but it will be interesting to see if there will be any other Pokemon with “negative” traits that gain similar levels of popularity in the years to come. Some fans would also likely enjoy seeing Snorlax get some attention, and with Mega Evolutions returning in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, perhaps that will happen.
