Pokemon Fan Designs Headgear and Weapons Inspired by the Regis

A number of Pokemon fans have reimagined their favorite pocket monsters as different animals and unique objects, such as one player who drew a series of weapons and headgear inspired by the Regis. As fans start gearing up for the next installment in the Pokemon franchise, many are looking back at their favorite monsters and sharing fan art in celebration of the beloved creatures.

Since the launch of Pokemon Red and Green in Japan in 1996, the brand has grown exponentially and achieved monumental success, becoming a household name across the globe and establishing a presence across various media industries, including video games, television, film, and trading card games. Many attribute the success to the titular pocket monsters, so it should come as no surprise that community members often find new ways to share their love of Pokemon with others.

Pokemon fan KosukeSukeP shared a series of impressive custom weapon and headgear designs inspired by the Regi Pokemon line, including Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Regigigas, Regieleki, and Regidrago. The first three Regi forms were introduced back in the Game Boy Advance Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire games, while Regigigas made his debut in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, with Regieleki and Regidrago joining the lineup in Pokemon Sword and Shield: The Crown Tundra. With each Regi having a distinct physical appearance, KosukeSukeP decided to make dedicated armor sets to represent the diverse lineup of Pokemon. Each weapon and headgear piece features the recognizable color scheme and elemental powers of the Regis, blending the beloved creatures of Pokemon with the fantastical armor found in games like Monster Hunter.

Regi Pokemon as Weapons and Headgear

Each of the Regis was transformed into one weapon and one headpiece, with a stone war hammer for Regirock, a crystallized gladius for Regice, a double-edged ax for Registeel, a bow and arrow for Regieleki, a gun lance for Regidrago, and a massive great sword for Regigigas. The matching helms all share similar esthetics to their weapons, along with glowing eyes, horns, chainmail, and spikes. Some commenters teased that the adorable Regieleki seemed out of place next to the imposing headgear and brutal weapons of the other Regis, but all agreed that the custom battle kits perfectly capture the essence of some of the most popular Pokemon creatures.

As the Pokemon brand continues to grow, audiences find new ways to expand the pocket monsters’ presence in their daily life with fun crafts, original artwork, and more. With players excitedly awaiting the release of Pokemon Legends Z-A and many keeping their fingers crossed for more exclusive decks for the trading card game, community members have plenty of Pokemon content to look forward to in 2025.
