Iansan is surprisingly a very good 4-star character in Genshin Impact. Her ability to buff ATK% and heal the active character makes her a reliable ally who fits into many teams. But that’s not all that Iansan is capable of. When unlocking her Constellations, Iansan’s role as a support greatly improves, making her a must-have for some teams, instead of just good enough.
As a 4-star character, it’s easier to unlock Iansan’s Constellations and maximize her supportive potential. For that, this guide will go through Iansan’s Constellations in Genshin Impact and check if they’re worth unlocking or not.

Are Iansan’s Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?
Yes, Iansan’s Constellations are worth it in Genshin Impact. While Iansan is a great 4-star unit without her Constellations, she still gains so much value from every one of them, especially her second and sixth Constellations. Both her second and sixth copies give her an extra buff that will increase her viability as a buffer in Genshin Impact.
C1 – Starting’s Never Easy
Effect |
When Iansan is in combat and is in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, she will restore 15 Elemental Energy for every 6 Nightsoul points she consumes. This effect can trigger once every 18s. |

Without her Elemental Burst in Genshin Impact, Iansan couldn’t really fulfill any of her supportive roles. For that, regenerating her Elemental Burst back on every rotation should be the top priority for every player building her. Luckily, Iansan’s C1 solves a part of this necessity by giving her 15 Energy on every rotation. Now it’s much easier for Iansan to cast her Elemental Burst and have one of the smoothest gameplays in the game.
C2 – Laziness is the Enemy!
Effect |
When using the Elemental Burst The Three Principles of Power, Iansan will also gain the Precise Movement effect from her Passive Talent “Enhanced Resistance Training” for 15s. Additionally, if Iansan is off-field while Precise Movement is active, she will also increase your current active character’s ATK by 30%. You must first unlock the Passive Talent “Enhanced Resistance Training” to access the above effect. |

Iansan without Constellation has a lonely ATK% buff for the active character in her team. It’s a good buff and validates Iansan as a 4-star character in Genshin Impact, but it’s not her full potential. When unlocking her C2, she will unlock an additional 30% ATK buff to add to her kit. This makes her a reliable buffer for every character with a high Base ATK in the game.
C4 – Slow and Steady Wins the Race
Effect |
When the Kinetic Energy Scale is present, Iansan will gain 2 stacks of Surging Force after your current active character (excluding herself) uses their Elemental Burst. The stacks last until the Scale leaves the field, and Surging Force can be gained once per Scale summoning. Whenever Iansan restores Nightsoul points via the Scale, she will consume 1 Surging Force stack and restore 4 additional Nightsoul points. Additionally, if her Nightsoul restoration from the Scale overflows, Iansan will gain 50% of the overflow the next time she restores Nightsoul points via the Scale. |

Constellation number four improves Iansan’s Nightsoul restoration, which further maintains her off-field ATK buff. It also unlocks the ability for her Nightsoul restoration to overflow, giving her two great benefits from this new passive effect. She will have an easier time staying on her second rotation and will be able to trigger her C6 effect constantly, which increases the active character’s DMG by 25%.
C6 – Teachings of the Collective of Plenty
Effect |
The Kinetic Energy Scale’s duration is increased by 3s. Additionally, when Iansan triggers Nightsoul point restoration, if there is any overflow, she will gain the Extreme Force effect, which increases the DMG dealt by your current active character by 25% for 3s. |

As a buffer, it’s important to have as many buffs in Iansan’s kit as possible. For that, it’s very important to unlock her C6 since it increases the duration of her buff while also granting her a new 25% DMG buff. That alone puts Iansan among the best supports in Genshin Impact.
