Assassin’s Creed Shadows: How To Get A Legendary Katana Early (Bloodshade)

Bloodshade is one of the best legendary katanas in Assassin’s Creed Shadows that players focusing on affliction builds will enjoy.

Players can find the Tool Master Gear legendary armor inside the Katano Castle’s chest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Katano Castle is one of the first hostile castles that players will visit on their way to Osaka, as it’s located northwest of the Hideout.

After reaching the location, players will discover that the location is guarded by several enemies, including high-level Samurai Daisho. The legendary chest for Katano Castle is located in the main Pagoda, which has a synchronization point on top of it.

Eliminating all Samurai Daisho in Katano Castle

To open the legendary chest in Katano Castle, players will first have to eliminate two Samurai Daisho. These elite Samurai are patrolling different areas of the compound, so you’ll have to run from rooftop to rooftop in search of them.

To make searching easier for you, try using Naoe’s Eagle Vision ability to mark enemies. The enemies that have a samurai helmet icon on them are the targets you need to specifically eliminate to open the chest.

Taking Tool Master Gear Legendary Light Armor from the Chest

Once all the Samurai Daisho are taken care of, simply climb up the Katano Castle’s Pagoda and enter the room on the top. There’s a legendary chest in the room that you can open to get both Tool Master Gear legendary armor and the Kunai Throw on Assassination engraving.

The Tool Master Gear comes with high stats that players can benefit from early on in the game. However, the highlight of this legendary armor is its perk that lets Naoe throw a kunai at the nearest enemy after assassinating the first one. This essentially allows players to double assassinate enemies before even unlocking the skill in the mastery section.

However, if you’ve found a better legendary armor, you can still engrave the kunai legendary perk onto it from the blacksmith at the Hideout in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
