Because of its Leads system, Atomfall players have the opportunity to have entirely different experiences each time they play through the game. Not only can you unveil different outcomes to some of the game’s quests, but there are a number of different endings that tell the tale of your escape from the quarantine zone in a completely different way.
Players looking to complete their trophy/achievement lists, or simply want to discover which ending fits their character best, will need to form alliances with different NPCs throughout the game. Perhaps the most mysterious of these only communicates with you via telephone, so you may want to know whether you should trust the Voice on the Phone in Atomfall and if this character will help you make it out alive.

Should You Choose The Voice on the Phone in Atomfall?
Of the multiple endings you can get in Atomfall, The Voice on the Phone offers perhaps one of the more positive outcomes for players in the game. With that said, in a word, yes, you should trust The Voice on the Phone. While its motives are not entirely clear, this mysterious character follows through with their promise to provide you with an escape from the quarantine zone, should you fulfill the task they have set for you.
In order to escape the quarantine zone with the help of The Voice on the Phone, players will need to access The Interchange, get to Oberon, and destroy it. This will require players arming a number of bombs and escaping back to where the story all started in quick succession. Once you have completed the task, the Voice will ensure you are safely extracted from the zone, or, at least, that is what players are led to believe happens at the end of the story.
How To Get The Voice on the Phone Ending in Atomfall
Unlike some of the other endings in Atomfall, including NPCs like Mother Jago and Captain Sims, the Voice on the Phone ending requires the least amount of effort to complete. This is due to the fact that the Voice takes a “trust no one but me” approach, so there’s no need to gain the favor of any other characters in the game. Essentially, to get the Voice on the Phone ending, you need to destroy Oberon. While this sounds relatively simple in theory, it does require that players complete all the mandatory components of the game to get to that point.
To get the Voice on the Phone ending, players will need to complete the following steps:
- Collect 5-6 Atomic Batteries throughout your playthrough.
- Acquire a Signal Redirector to activate the Central Processor and open the entrance to Oberon.
- Open the Interchange from all entrances, and use the Atomic Batteries to power up the datapoints
- Arm the bombs surrounding Oberon to blow it up, then return to the phone at the entrance to Windscale.
- Run back to the starting bunker in the game in the south of Slatten Dale, and speak to the Voice on the phone in the opening room of the game.
The game will end with a cutscene where the Voice will explain what has happened as a result of your actions. The one detail that players will still not know is the identity of the Voice, which will hopefully come to light in DLCs or any installments to the franchise that follow.
