Assassin’s Creed Shadows – Takeda Castle Exploration Guide
Takeda Castle holds plenty of secrets behind its five Samurai Daisho defenders.
However, if you prefer to avoid earning a wanted level by taking a quiet and stealthy approach, then we’ve got you covered with all the information you need to silently assassinate the Tsuchibashi Samurai Daisho as Naoe.
Where Is Tsuchibashi Fort?
Tsuchibashi Fort is located in the southwestern section of the Izumi Settsu region, south of Sakai and west of Negoroji.
The closest fast travel point is Mount Kongo to the north, but you can also approach from the south via Saika Kakurega if you’d like.
We’ll be approaching from the north side if you’d like to follow precisely.
How To Find & Assassinate The First Samurai Daisho
Approach from the north and cross the bridge to get closer to this sprawling fort, which has multiple elevations to its buildings.
Make your way up the path to the east to find a spot along the mountainside where you can climb up a wall and onto the small roof adjacent to a guard tower overlooking the northern entrance.
Take out the guard in this tower, then get a better view of the surrounding fort.
Scope out the eastern area, then jump and assassinate the guard at the bottom of some more scaffolding to take you further east into the fort. Carefully skirt along the northern edge of the castle and take out the guard along the stairway further up.
Climb a wall at the northeast corner to reach the northeastern courtyard, where you’ll find the first Samurai Daisho berating a subordinate.
Jump from roof to roof along the northern wall until you can jump onto the outer side of the wall. Follow the outer wall to the spot next to where the Samurai Daisho is standing using your Eagle Vision.
Climb up the wall using your grappling hook, then double assassinate both the Daisho and his subordinate, and quickly leave the courtyard before the other two guards see you.
How To Find & Assassinate The Second Samurai Daisho
From the northeast courtyard, head south across the gap to get to the fort’s southeastern courtyard.
There’s a hay bale along the eastern edge that you can aim to jump into.
In the southeastern courtyard, you’ll find the second Samurai Daisho in the center of the courtyard.
In the courtyard, you’ll see four people:
- The Daisho.
- Another guard next to him.
- One guard is patrolling on the northern side of the courtyard.
- One guard is patrolling on the southern side of the courtyard.
To kill the second Samurai Daisho in Tsuchibashi Fort, follow these steps:
- First, kill the northernmost patrolling guard (the one closest to you when you jump in).
- Head back to the roof you just came from.
- Wait for the southern patrolling guard to notice and investigate the body.
- When he comes over to investigate, assassinate him from the roof.
- Sneak up on the Samurai Daisho and his subordinate in the center, getting a cheeky double assassination or kill one at a time.
You can also hide in the box instead of retreating to the roof after the first guard is killed.
What Rewards Do You Get From Tsuchibashi Fort?
With the second Daisho defeated, you can head back to the northern section of the fort to collect your Legendary Chest.
Side Loot
While there are no keys and locked doors to find, there are some smaller chests scattered around Tsuchibashi Fort.

Additional Loot:
- In the northeast corner of the fort, in the same house where you find the legendary chest, there is a smaller chest on the main floor.
- In the northeastern corner of the southeastern courtyard, there’s a small house with a chest in it guarded by a Samurai.
- In the central courtyard of the fort, there’s an open door guarded by three enemies with three bundles of resources to smuggle, some minerals, and a chest.
Legendary Chest
In the northeastern courtyard of the fort, you’ll find a three-story house guarded by some enemies outside and a samurai on the second floor inside.
Head in through the door on the top floor and claim the Legendary Chest, which contains:
- 3,000 exp
- An Engraving
- The Helmet of the Legendary Samurai for Yasuke
Synchronization Viewpoint
In the southeastern corner of the fort, you’ll find a guard tower tucked away.
Climb the tower and take out the guard at the top, then take the synchronization viewpoint and fast travel point.
