The Sims 4: How to Change Traits (With Cheats)
Players can change their Sims’ traits in The Sims 4 thanks to these handy cheats.
Fans can play this however they choose, but earning money and sustaining a household is undoubtedly one of the most important parts of The Sims 4. Various cheats can be used to increase a Sim’s household funds, but none is as iconic as the motherlode cheat, which is what this guide focuses on.
How to Use Motherlode in The Sims 4
There are two things that players need to learn to do before being able to use the Motherlode cheat: opening the cheat console and enabling cheats. To enable cheats in The Sims 4, players must open the cheat console to insert the code that activates cheating.
Players on PC can open the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift+ C, but those on console must press all four trigger buttons in order to do it. Then, they must enter the code “testingcheats on” or “testingcheats true”, which will immediately activate cheats.
Lastly, still using the cheat console, players have to input the code “motherlode”, and 50,000 Simoleons will be added to their household funds.
How to Disable Cheats in The Sims 4
If players don’t want to use any more cheats other than Motherlode and would like to go back to a cheat-free game, then they can reopen the cheat console and enter the code “testingcheats off” or “testingcheats false”.
Once done, no other cheat menus will appear while gamers are playing The Sims 4 – unless they enable them once again in the future.
