Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Ifa’s Kit, Leaving Some Fans Disappointed

Summary

  • Ifa, a new Anemo character, gains Nightsoul points with his Normal Attack and heals with his Elemental Skill.
  • Fans are disappointed by Ifa’s generic kit and predict he may be a lower four-star rarity.
  • Ifa’s release date is still unknown, but he is expected to potentially have on-field synergy with Ororon.

A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed Ifa’s complete kit details, and many fans don’t seem too happy about his on-field potential. After releasing two new playable characters in the ongoing Genshin Impact Version 5.5, Varesa and Iansan, it seems that HoYoverse will continue its pattern of expanding the playable roster with each update.

Over the past few days, many credible leakers have hinted at the mysterious Fontaine chef Escoffier and Natlan’s famous veterinarian Ifa. Both of them have been officially announced in Genshin Impact‘s promotional videos. Ifa appeared in the Special Program for 5.5, while Escoffier only briefly appeared in Varesa’s character trailer.

Genshin Impact Leaks Important Kit News About New Character Escoffier

A new Genshin Impact leak reveals exciting details about a new character named Escoffier who is rumored to join the roster in the foreseeable future.

A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed details about the upcoming Anemo user Ifa, who is expected to join the roster in the upcoming Version 5.6 update. According to the leak, Ifa’s Normal Attack is fairly simple, performing three consecutive strikes that deal Anemo damage. Ifa’s Normal Attack grants 80 Nightsoul points and makes him enter Genshin Impact‘s Nightsoul Blessing state. Tapping his Elemental Skill will fire a Medicinal Bullet, dealing Anemo damage and providing healing to party members while holding the skill makes Ifa continuously fire Medicinal Bullets. While in the Nightsoul Blessing state, holding the Elemental Skill will cause Ifa to perform a Plunging Nightsoul-aligned Attack. Ifa’s Elemental Burst activates a field effect called Therapeutic Field Sedative, which explodes upon impact, creating a Binding Wind Field that pulls in nearby enemies and deals AoE Anemo damage. If it interacts with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro, it will apply a special mark that explodes after a short duration and up to four different enemies can be affected by the mark.

Some Genshin Impact Fans Are Unimpressed by Ifa’s Generic Kit

Even though many fans had hoped that Ifa would be a new five-star character in Genshin Impact, the length of his kit description has led many to predict that he will, unfortunately, have a lower four-star rarity. Some players aren’t too happy about Ifa’s kit, claiming that he will be just another Anemo healer. Others have pointed out that Ifa will be the fifth character in Genshin Impact to have the Anemo-Catalyst combination.

Some Travelers also find it odd that HoYoverse is introducing two on-field, Swirl-focused catalyst healers in consecutive updates. The previous Genshin Impact Version 5.4 added the five-star character Mizuki, who shares a similar playstyle. The only silver lining, according to some players, is that Ifa will potentially have great on-field synergy with Ororon, which makes sense lore-wise since the two are said to be great friends.

When it comes to Ifa’s exact release date, there is still no official information. If HoYoverse decides to place him on the first banner for Genshin Impact Version 5.6, players can expect Ifa to join the playable roster around May 7, at least based on HoYoverse’s usual update schedule.
