Summary

  • A Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 fan has proven not every game requires bloodshed, as they managed to beat the story without killing a single person.
  • Reddit user Hamfinity is the person in question, and they detailed their experience earlier today, explaining how they completed certain quests.
  • Short answer – they punched a lot of people and threw some people off building in extreme cases. Hey, it was gravity that killed them, not Henry.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be a pretty brutal game at times, and you can find yourself quickly drenched in blood if you pick a fight with every bandit or wolf that you come across. Sure, you can call yourself the most powerful knight that the Kingdom of Bohemia has ever seen, but surely there’s more satisfaction in avoiding bloodshed?

That’s what Reddit user Hamfinity believes anyway, as after playing through the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance without killing a single person, they decided to do the same with the sequel. In a new post on the game’s subreddit, Hamfinity shares their states for their playthrough, which shows that they channeled their “medieval Batman” to make sure neither a single person nor animal died while on their watch – technically.

With a little help from gravity

To accomplish this feat, Hamfinity explained that whenever they could avoid combat, they did so, using either Henry’s talking skills, or using stealth attacks to knock people out. They also used primarily unarmed combat to try and avoid skewering people with swords and arrows, with one unarmed combo doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

There’s nothing as funny as being confidently wrong.

Of course, there are some enemies that can’t be knocked unconscious, but Hamfinity had a few ways to deal with them that kept Henry’s hands clean. For example, the quest Via Argentum pits Henry against three soldiers that couldn’t be knocked out, so they let Mutt do the killing for them.

Another quest called Exodus ended up being tricky too, as they were faced with soldiers that had to be killed for the game to progress. To overcome this barrier, Hamfinity used a combination of damage over time and gravity to do the killing for him, as neither counted towards the death counter.

Besides that, it’s just a case of simply tanking enemy hits and ensuring that friendly characters land killing blows. Henry doesn’t have a squeaky-clean conscience though, as Hamfinity admits that he “stole so much” during his playthrough. Hey, better a thief than a murderer, that’s what I say.
