Invincible is killing it in the ratings, and that’s due to many things, such as their attention to detail, general faithfulness to the comic book series, wild fight scenes, and thoroughly well-written characters. The story generally follows Mark Grayson/Invincible’s arc; however, the show takes many detours and there are a lot of side characters who shine in this show.

Invincible: All Season 3 Episodes, Ranked
There were plenty of great episodes in Season 3 of Invincible, and we rank them all here.
From Viltrumites to humans to everyone in between, this show covers a wide range of people and characters. In order to rank the best characters, we took a look at several different things, but this list is not about who is the strongest or the most powerful. Rather, this is a list of the best characters, given character arcs and overall impact and importance to the show.
9
William Clockwell
William is Mark’s best friend from high school, and although he doesn’t have any superpowers, Mark and William were friends way before Mark fully got his powers. “With great power comes great responsibility” is a theme that comes up a lot in this show, and Mark needs help when it comes to this. William is always there as a grounding, calming presence to Mark.
The show asks a lot of questions about how people act and who they become when they get more power, and Mark is lucky to have a friend like William. So, therefore, William plays a pivotal role in Mark’s overall character development.
8
Amber Bennett
Amber Bennett is a great balance to Mark. She breaks up with Mark because of how he lies to her about who he truly is, before finding out that he is Invincible. She is very important because she challenges Mark on his beliefs and why he does what he does.
Her character is also a great example of the show trying to be more representative and inclusive in modern times. She has a persistent, guiding nature as well as being a great example of the show’s correct decision to expand diversity in characters.
7
Cecil Stedman
Cecil is crucial because he is in charge of the Global Defense Agency (obviously as important as it sounds). He seemingly strikes the fear of a character that will turn bad, as he teeters the line with some decision-making; however, overall, he is always motivated by protecting Earth. That’s his moral compass, and he sticks to it.
If it wasn’t for him, maybe things would have gone astray and ended up way worse. Given the power he holds, and his experience in the world of helping, he’s a very influential character.
6
Debbie Grayson
Mark’s mother and Nolan’s wife, Debbie comes face to face with good versus evil when she discovers that Nolan, Omni-Man, is actually a bad person, and has murdered countless people. He calls her “a pet” and after 20 years of marriage, that’s not where you want to be.
Whether it’s giving advice or trying to help anyone ranging from Mark, Oliver (her stepson), or anyone else she comes into contact with, Debbie is a powerful voice of reason. She is a helper, and is strong, resilient, and calm-headed, no matter what she faces.
5
Allen the Alien
A fan favorite for his comedic nature, Allen is a Unopan (from the planet Unopa) bred to fight Viltrumites. Every time he almost dies, he gets stronger, so he is always growing and getting better.
Given his nature to always be improving, he is a big symbol for this show, Invincible, in which he becomes more invincible through fighting. Many fans have called for a spin-off show with him as a central character because of how incredible he is all around, and he is a powerhouse given his strength and comedic chops.
4
The Immortal
Immortal is an original member of the Guardians of the Globe, and, like his name implies, he has immortality. This has given him a very wide-ranging life, from being a knight to an explorer to a soldier to President of the United States under the alias of Abraham Lincoln.

Immortal overtime, though, has gotten depressed and chaotic, and although he has been killed many times, as he comes back each time, it takes a toll. He ends up becoming a villain, harming and killing many people, and because of this very extensive, rounded character arc, and all that he has done, The Immortal is a great character.
3
Atom Eve
Atom Eve, aka Samantha Eve Wilkins, is very strong, and she possesses near immortality. She can regenerate her health, which puts her in a league of her own in terms of how capable she is in battle.
She is Mark’s love interest and between her healing properties and matter manipulation abilities, where she can change one thing into something completely different, she’s an extremely important, powerful character.
2
Omni-Man/Nolan Grayson
From a loving, strong, caring father, to viciously attacking his own son and murdering countless innocent people, Omni-Man is a Viltrumite who lives on Earth, and has a son, Mark, with a human, Debbie. Throughout the show, he battles with feeling love for Earth versus doing what the Viltrumite empire sets out to do, which is conquer and take over less powerful worlds.
His desires and goals waver as he is always battling who he thinks he is versus who he should be and why. He’s by far one of the strongest characters physically, and given all the demons that he wrestles with, he’s integral to the story, and without him, Invincible wouldn’t be Invincible.
1
Invincible/Mark Grayson
Our title character, Mark is half Viltrumite half Human, and he is front and center of the story. His morals are put into question, and one of his flaws is seen in his short temper, where his decision-making has vastly changed the story.
In the show, his growth as an individual and as a superhero takes many turns and detours, and it’s fascinating to watch. From his girlfriends, to his foes, to his mother and father, his own sense of self is challenged and moved many times. Throughout it all though, we see a character incapable of defeat, and for that, Mark Grayson truly is Invincible.
