One Piece Card Game’s OP10 Royal Blood is another power set that not only introduces powerful archetypes like Punk Hazard, but also revitalizes old archetypes like Supernovas, by giving them other avenues of play with life manipulation.

While most of the Yellow cards in the set are super-powerful, there are plenty of other strong cards for all of your One Piece needs. Hopefully you’ve picked up some of these since most One Piece sets tend to be quite expensive in the long run, especially after they gone out of print at local game stores.

Basil Hawkins

Trash Your Opponent’s Life

Trashing a life is one of the most powerful effects in the One Piece Card Game. When taking damage, the life card usually goes to the hand, making it even harder to kill your opponent. With Basil Hawkins on the board, you’ll have an annoying threat that your opponent will be forced to deal with.

With a great stat line, counter power, and an excellent trigger for card draw, Basil Hawkins will be a must play in trigger-heavy yellow decks from now on.

Sanji

Early Aggression

A 3,000 power character is usually extremely easy to remove from the board, but if you can manage to make this Sanji stick around for a bit, the card will net you incredible value.

During your turn, Sanji becomes a 6,000 power attacker that you’ll be able to swing into your opponent’s life as early as your five DON!! turn. Even if your opponent manages to remove Sanji, its K.O. effect will let you draw a card, effectively replacing your loss with more counter or possibly another Sanji.

Kuzan

Recursion For Blackbeard

Blackbeard was an instant threat to the meta upon release. The only problem was that decks like OP01 Donquixote Doflamingo were too fast for the Emperor to keep up. With this Kuzan card, Marshall D. Teach has more firepower to fight back.

Kuzan cannot be removed by your opponent’s effects so the only way to out it is by battle. Just make sure you stock up on counter power to defend him. In the event that you need to recycle some cards from the trash that you have pitched from your leader effect, you will be able to use Kuzan’s effect to play something out, continuing your advantage.

Tashigi

Protect Your Board

As the cards evolve in the One Piece Card Game, protection effects become more rampant, but the king of protection effects will always be the color green. Similar to Donquixote Rosinante from OP05, this Tashigi card can protect your other green characters by simply resting herself.

The best part about the effect is that, unlike Rosinante, she can protect any green card, not just rested ones. Plus, she comes equipped with a 2,000 counter in case you don’t really need the effect, but let’s be real, it will always come in handy.

Smoker

Banish And Value

A ton of Punk Hazard cards were released in Royal Blood, but even though Smoker is an excellent leader, most of the cards are very generic, being able to be splashed in just about any red or green deck, like Bonney.

This Smoker card has the ever so powerful keyword “Banish”, denying your opponent a card in their hand after they take damage, but he can also restand an already-used up DON!! for further plays, making your Bonney leader effect always live.

Eustass”Captain”Kid

Just like Basil Hawkins, this Eustass Kid can burn your opponent’s life cards, but this Supernova card doesn’t need to be K.O.’d to activate this ability. He can also act as a pseudo blocker to protect your own life, since he activates his ability by resting himself.

With this massive 9,000 power body, you’ll be able to protect your other characters while having a huge attacker next turn that will also draw you cards to slowly widdle down your opponent.

Divine Departure

Do Not Aim That Weapon At Our Country!

Shanks has been a powerful force in the meta of the One Piece Card Game and now with another kill option in the form of Divine Departure. Shank’s signature attack can K.O. an 8,000 power character for an easy six DON!!, but can also be used as a 3,000 power counter similar to Guard Point.

the Shanks deck loves defensive options so now having a searchable one, makes the deck that much more deadly. Sorry if you’re an Eustace Kid fan, but this card is going to hurt some feelings.

Liberation

Two For One

Not only did Marshall D. Teach receive a great card in this set with Kuzan, but the deck also got an amazing removal card, Liberation. The Blackbeard Pirates deck doesn’t tend to play too many characters on board, as they normally try to wait out until they can safely drop a 10-cost Blackbeard, so Liberation will always be live.

This card can remove two separate bodies from your opponent’s board a six-cost and a four-cost. Sadly, the card can only remove characters with that base cost, meaning you will not be able to use cost reduction cards like Van Augur.

Trafalgar Law

Supernova Characters, Go!

Every deck needs a good boss monster. With this Trafalgar Law, you’ll be able to quickly play out your characters from your hand, into your life, and back out into the field. It can’t do as many broken things as the now-banned Gecko Moria, but this card is a great add for any yellow Supernova Deck.

Luckily, Royal Blood included two different leaders that can play this great seven-cost Trafalgar Law, Green Yellow Law and Yellow Eustass Kid, who can make this card a blocker at the end of your turn.

Tony Tony.Chopper

Huge Blocker

This Sanji Chopper card doesn’t seem like much, but at four-cost, this blocker card can become a 6,000 power blocker on your opponent’s turn. This card can also be searchable by one of the best searchers in the game, Nami from OP01 Romance Dawn.

The One Piece Card Game has been making some extremely powerful cards 2,000 counter, making the decision to play them quite hard. Luckily, with the Royal Blood Smoker leader, this decision will be extremely easy.
