Staying in fashion while pioneering the wilds is also an important part of the exploration job in Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist Of Memories & The Envisioned Land, and Yumia and her companions can easily nail that part. They all have plenty of alternative clothes for them, even if you can’t get your hands on them that easily.

While they don’t grant any extra effects to characters, the extra flair is always welcome in cutscenes. And they might end up being more practical in combat than the team’s usual garb, so having a small change of clothes is never a bad thing.
How To Change Outfits
Outfits can be changed by building a Dressing Room inside any building area (such as the Atelier) after you unlock Building. You automatically start the game with the building recipe, and you can place it in any location you want. You can set multiple Dressing Rooms in multiple bases and building, as long as they have enough space.
Interact with the Dressing Room to individually choose the outfits for each party members. All DLC outfits are immediately available as soon as you purchase them and update your game, and will be shown during general gameplay, battles, and all non-pre-rendered cutscenes. Pre-rendered cutscenes always feature the characters in their original attire.
You can also change your outfits in Photo Mode when adding the respective characters to the scenario, even if they aren’t equipped with them currently. They’ll be back to their equipped outfits once you return to normal gameplay.
How To Unlock All Outfit Sets
There’s a total of five outfit sets for all party members in the game. The protagonist, however, also has two unique-themed outfits exclusively for her. Flammi is an exception, as it only has four outfits. Flammi’s DLC outfits are always included with Yumia’s, but you’re not forced to use them together.
Some outfits can be unlocked through regular gameplay, while others can only be obtained through DLC purchases. More outfits may be made available later in the future from collaboration events and/or new DLC announcements.
Default Outfit
The outfit you start with and use throughout the game during every important story moment, with unique names for each of the characters. If you have the Colorful Collection DLC, you can also pick two palette swaps for each character’s base outfit here, giving them a slightly different visual.
Light Outfits
Automatically unlocked at the start of the game. These are the same as the Default outfits, but with fewer clothes and the ‘(Light)’ name added to them. These are automatically equipped during certain story portions and during camping.
Aquatic Research Uniform
Unlocked through the ‘Hot Springs Revival’ Pioneering Quest in Auruma. The whole quest line starts at the ‘Exhausted Research Team’ quest and revolves around building a hot springs area for the Research Team to relax. They’re all identical between all characters, and cannot be customized aside from their basic looks.
Swimsuit Set
Unlocked via paid DLC. Another swimsuit set, but each character has its own unique version of it, filled with many more details and unique styles. They are different from the suits shown in the hot springs cutscenes. Included in the Game Pass DLC, Ultimate Edition, bought as a DLC pack, or obtained individually for each character.
Academy Set
Unlocked via paid DLC. An elegant-themed outfit set for each character, set to be released on October 2025. It currently has no images, but their names have been revealed, so visuals should be available soon. Included in the Game Pass DLC, or the Ultimate Edition.
Athlete Of Memories
Unlocked via free DLC for all platforms in the Aladiss Investigation Preparation Set. Yumia and Flammi only. Yumia takes on clothing more fitting for exploring and climbing, while Flammi is now allocated to a whole new recipient.
Black Rose Magician
Unlocked by buying the Ultimate Edition. Yumia only. An elegant mage-inspired dress for Yumia that might not be the best choice for exploration, but definitely the one for those Photo Mode shots. Cannot be obtained separately from the Ultimate Edition.
Additionally, the Backpack Set DLC, also available for free on all platforms, gives Yumia two new backpack colors, as well as two special smoke effects for Flammi. These can be changed just like outfits in the Dressing Room. These can be combined with any outfits.
While not exactly an outfit, the Additional Hair Color Set DLC can be applied to any available outfit. It also includes different fire colors for Flammi. It is included in the Ultimate Edition pack for the game.
