How To Find Mother Jago in Atomfall
Mother Jago is one of the most significant NPCs in Atomfall, and is one individual you can align with as you attempt to escape the quarantine zone. She can be found in Casterfell Woods, in the far north-eastern corner at a site called The Old Mine (27.2E, 92.2N). If you previously went to the Bakery in Wyndham Village and spoke to Iris, then this is where you’ll need to go to progress that Lead.
Once you’ve reached the Old Mine, you can speak to Mother Jago, who will request some assistance in retrieving a book of hers that is now in the possession of the Druids in their castle lair. Agreeing to assist Jago will progress the Mother Jago storyline, and require you to venture south-west to get to the Druid fortress.
How To Get Mother Jago’s Book
To retrieve Mother Jago’s book, players will need to go to the castle ruins in the south-western corner of Casterfell Woods. While there is a main entrance at 19.6E, 83.7N, this requires a key to get to the room where the book is being kept. Instead, you should opt to enter the stronghold via the side entrance at 20.6E, 83.7N. In addition to having a clear passage to the book, you can also acquire the Strange Tonic recipe for curing infection, as well as an Atomic Battery.
Once you are in the side entrance, go through the following steps to reach the book:
- Take the left passage as you reach the first fork in the path, after taking out the Druid guarding and grabbing the Training Stims from the yellow BARD crate.
- There is another BARD crate on the left, then go down the stairs and kill the High Priestess for her battery.
- Go down the stairs, across the bridge over the blue glow, and up the stairs on the left. You’ll encounter enemies, so ensure you are equipped for a fight or to run.
- Cross the bridge on the right, deal with the bats, then follow the path until you have the option to go left.
- Continue up the path, bear right, then up the ladder.
- Follow the stairs straight down and back up again, deal with the Druids, then enter the room on the opposite side.
- You can grab the Strange Tonic recipe on the left, then go to the table in the middle of the room for Mother Jago’s book.
Rewards For Getting Mother Jago’s Book
Once players have Mother Jago’s book in their possession, they’ll need to return to Mother Jago to give it to her. From there, you’ll engage in further dialogue. If you select the Bargaining dialogue option, Jago will part ways with three Training Stims, which you can use to purchase any skills you have unlocked.
After this section of the quest is completed, you will be instructed to take an item to the Speaking Cave as an offering. Should you follow this, you are well on your way to earning Mother Jago’s trust and unlocking her ending of the story.
