Marvel Rivals Releases New Update Patch Notes

NetEase Games has released official patch notes for an update coming to Marvel Rivals on March 27. Marvel Rivals is currently nearing the end of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which has players looking toward the future. According to several dataminers, Season 2 of the popular hero shooter may launch as soon as April 11.

While NetEase Games has experienced a lot of success with Marvel Rivals, it has also received some criticism from fans. Many gamers have complained about the state of flying heroes in the title, claiming that there are very few ways to counter the combination of Storm, Human Torch, and Iron Man in Marvel Rivals. This seems to be an especially hot issue among fans who primarily play Vanguard characters. A recent update also unintentionally nerfed the hero Peni Parker, which the developers acknowledged in the game’s official Discord channel. Despite these issues, the title has largely continued to generate a lot of praise, with many fans feeling the positives far outweigh the negatives.

In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games gave players a first look at the patch notes for the upcoming Marvel Rivals update on March 27. It’s important to mention that there will be no downtime associated with the update, meaning people will be able to play uninterrupted. The notes mention that fans will soon be able to claim an April Fool’s Day Easter egg, though there’s no word on what the reward will be. Gamers will be able to claim the prize by completing Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure in Marvel Rivals and collecting the item between April 1 and April 4.

The patch notes also mention that the developer has managed to fix an ongoing issue with Marvel Rivals‘ Human Torch, which would sometimes cause his primary attack to miss when it should have registered as a hit. The popular hero shooter has also managed to smooth out issues where players would get stuck on map terrain along with numerous other bugs and glitches.

NetEase Games will also be releasing two new skins in Marvel Rivals‘ shop on March 27. The Fist of Vengeance costume gives Moon Knight a new look based on the character’s outfit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Meanwhile, Black Panther will be receiving a new outfit called Thrice-Cursed King, which gives the hero a vampire makeover. It’s a fearsome new look that may imply that Black Panther has joined Dracula’s army in the story for Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. With a whole new update to look forward to and even more content on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.

5. Magneto’s Magnetic Moments: Resolved an issue in the post-match where Magneto’s MVP could sometimes display some bizarre, offbeat visuals. The master of magnetism now commands his moments with true polar precision.
6. Wolverine’s Ultimate with Pinpoint Precision: Fixed a snag in Wolverine’s Ultimate Ability where, under high network latency, foes sent flying and slammed into the ground could sometimes end up in the wrong location. Now, every Last Stand lands exactly where it should.
