LTA South 2025 Split 2 – Introduction

The LTA South 2025 Split 2 is the second split of the 2025 competitive year for the South Conference following the merger of the former LCS, CBLOL, and LLA.

The eight teams will be competing for the single spot in the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational which will take place later this June in Vancouver, Canada. The winner will also qualify for the LoL Esports World Cup tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this summer.

When will the LTA South Split 2 start?

The LTA North Split 2 will be kicking off on April 5, on the same day as LTA North. The end date, however, is yet to be confirmed.

Format Explained

The first stage will see the eight teams compete in a single round robin of Bo1. Based on the results, teams will be split into two groups of four, using a snake system to distribute the teams fairly.

In the second phase, the group stage, there will be a single round robin within each group, featuring Bo3 matches. At the end of Week 6, the top 2 teams of each group will face each other for seeding while the bottom two will play elimination matches to determine who will be out of playoff contention.

The top six will then play a double-elimination bracket, featuring Bo5s series using the “Hard Fearless Draft”, meaning that champions can only be picked once by either team during the series.

Full Schedule and Expectations

Based on the performance from Split 1, Isurus Estral is still likely going to be favored to compete for the championship. They have put together a solid roster featuring two Korean imports (Burdol and Mireu) as well as former LCS jungler Josedeodo. They were also the only team that could fight off the LTA North teams when the two conferences faced off, taking one series off from Team Liquid who then went on to win playoffs. Expect them to be front runners in Split 2 as well.

As for the schedule, it’s still to be confirmed so check back once it’s published. To stay up to date with all esports news, check out our other sections.
