What is the LoL Legend Cup Season 3?

The LoL Legend Cup Season 3 is an event organized by Huya, featuring former professionals, free agents and well-known streamers. With a total prize pool of 3 million RMB, it allows non-pros to play something close to competitive League of Legends.

Last year, the Legend Cup held two editions, and Season 3 will be the first of 2025. This time, it will also feature cross regional matches between China and Korea.

The competition will have an initial drafting phase by the captains, as they will be tasked to create a roster by choosing players available from each role. Below is the list of players from each region (captains are highlighted in bold):

CN – Tiger Area

Format explained

According to the format, the draft show will take place first at the end of March. After teams are drafted, there will be a first group stage with teams playing a single round robin of Bo1. The top teams will then take part in the double elimination bracket stage by using Hard Fearless Draft mode in the Bo5 series. The final phase will then see the remaining teams compete offline to determine the top three. At this point, the two regions will send their teams to battle one another on May 17.

  • March 29 – KR drafting ceremony
  • March 30 – CN drafting ceremony
  • April 7-9, 14-16, 21-23, 28-30 – KR Group stage
  • April 10-13, 17-20, 24-27 – CN group stage
  • May 1-4 – CN elimination stage
  • May 5-7 – KR elimination stage
  • May 10-11 – CN&KR loser’s bracket finals & grand finals
  • May 17 – cross region conference between KR and CN representatives

All matches will be streamed on Huya.
