It can be started at Obama in the Wasaka region. Upon starting High Seas Haymaker, you will be tasked with killing 100 pirates. Finding those pirates isn’t easy, so it could take you a lot of time to reach the given target. Here, we will guide you on how to complete it easily without wasting much time.

How To Start High Seas Haymaker

High Seas Haymaker will appear on your map at Obama in the Wasaka region. After talking to Niwa Toshikazu, the quest will start, and you will be tasked with finding and defeating 100 pirates. This can take a lot of time, but we have shortlisted some locations where you can complete the quota.

How To Find The Pirates

AC Shadows pirates location in sea on the map.

You can speed up the progress if you start The Pirate Alliance quest. That is because two of the pirates you have to assassinate in the mission have a lot of underlings. First, take a boat and go west of the trading port. There, you will find some pirate ships.

Defeat all of them, and the number will go up by 17. Do not underestimate the pirates, as they will shower arrows on you. You have to be careful and be as stealthy as possible. Try to utilize your kunai effectively and aim for their head.

If you go to the pirates on the ship using a boat, then make sure to disembark before they can notice you. Once you have disembarked, use your kunai to take out two pirates on the smaller boat.

First, kill the pirates that are on the smaller boat so you can make your way to the bigger one. There, use your weapon to make quick work of the enemies. Try to use your weapon skills, too. Now that you are in a bigger boat, you will have more cover, so be stealthy and defeat the remaining enemies.

Nairu's Lair location on the map in AC Shadows.

Once you’ve done this, head over to Nairu’s Lair. Here, you will find many pirates, as the total number will increase by 50. However, if you alert the pirates, they will gang up on you, and your chances of survival will decrease.

If you have not completed The Pirate Alliance Assassination quest, then Lopo Cruz will be at Nairu’s Lair. He is a tough opponent, so it would be better to leave him alone if your level is not high. However, if you defeat him, the rewards will be worth it.

Be as stealthy as possible and assassinate the pirates. If you can’t assassinate them due to the difference in levels, it is better to farm some EXP first and then continue this quest, as otherwise, it would be too difficult for you to succeed.

Maizuru's Lair location on the map in AC Shadows.

After clearing Nairu’s Lair, go to Maizuru’s Lair. There won’t be that many pirates here, but the total number will increase to over 60. Even after searching for hours, we couldn’t find more spots where pirates have taken residence, but there is a way to complete this quest.

If you have not completed The Pirate Alliance Assassination quest, then Little Kappa will be in Maizuru’s Lair. He is by no means small and is a lot more difficult to fight. If you can’t assassinate him while being stealthy, then we wouldn’t recommend fighting him.

Travel to the west of the trading port and keep going. Pass the ships where you assassinated the pirates and keep going until you reach the land. Save the game and try to densynchronize; you can do that by killing a citizen or simply dying.

Once done, the pirates on the boats will respawn, giving you an opportunity to farm them. You can do this twice or thrice until you have reached the goal. Again, do not underestimate the pirates; their aim is pretty good. You may not be able to do this quest if you are under-leveled; we recommend clearing some palaces and castles, like Njio Palace and Tsuruga Castle, first and then returning.

This way, you will have a lot more legendary equipment that will surely help you in the late-game areas. Also, two of the areas mentioned above feature some brutal bosses, so you can skip fighting them and simply assassinate the pirates. This is why being stealthy is pretty important. Otherwise, the boss will notice you, making it difficult for you to do your job.

Report Back To Niwa Toshikazu

Once you have finished killing 100 pirates, your objective will update. So, follow the coordinates on your map and talk to Niwa Toshikazu. He will thank you for your effort and give you gold (a crafting material) and 2,000 Mon as a reward. With this, the quest will be finished.
