The second part of 5.3 took players to the Liyue region for the Lantern Rite Festival, while update 5.4 focused on the Electro region, Inazuma. A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed that the main storyline might return to the fan-favorite Mondstadt region in Version 5.6. The leak suggests that the update will feature Mondstadt-related stories as well as a new weekly boss. This also adds credibility to previous rumors that update 5.6 will include a map expansion, though it is expected to be smaller than the one in Version 5.5, which has been confirmed to add a large part of Natlan, including the famous Great Volcano of Tollan.
